I was doing some research about work abroad. I came across TEFL - Teaching English Foreign Language.

There have been many success stories about getting a teaching job in some countries like China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and some advanced countries.

Some of the employees are not Nigerian, and some of these jobs are open to all nationalities, both native English speakers and non-native English speakers.

For one to be eligible, he or she must have a TEFL certificate and a bachelor degree of any discipline.

I need opinions and Information about a Nigerian getting a job with TEFL. If you have any experience to share, please share.

With your TEFL certification you can also get teaching jobs in International schools here in Nigeria. Most schools outside require native speakers, some others still employ non- native speakers. It all depends on the choice of the school.

However, few schools in Asia and Africa employ English teachers with TEFL and other certifications but it's not really easy. The easiest is to get the certification and get employed in the international schools here like Green Springs, Corona Schools etc. These schools pay as high as others elsewhere in the world with good condition of service.
