Today, October 13th, is the "No bra day". It is not a day to celebrate the breast neither is it a day to encourage pervert inclined social behaviours.

It is a day to set women lose from the deadly tentacles of breast cancer, through the means of awareness and publicity.

Things you should know about breast cancer;

1. Did you know breast cancer can occur in both men and women? About 1% of the male population can develop breast cancer.

2. Women with close relative who have been diagnosed with breast cancer have a higher risk of developing the disease.

3. It is advisable to perform a self breast examination at least once monthly, to catch symptoms early if any for early diagnosis and good prognosis.

4. If you notice any of these symptoms during your routine breast examination, please contact a health professional.

a. Lump in the breast.

b. Bloody nipple discharge.

c. Changes in the shape or texture of the nipple or breast.

d. Any kind of discharge from the nipple when not lactating.
