Kogi 2019: APC Ijumu Local Government Inaugurates Campaign Council.

Ahead of the forthcoming Kogi governorship election, the All Progressives Congress Ijumu Local government has on tuesday inaugurated its campaign council.

The event which took place at the resident of Senator Smart Adeyemi attracts a massive turnout of crowd ranging from the campaign committee members and the supporters of the New Direction government in the local government.

Speaking at the occasion, the administrator of Ijumu Local government, Hon Taufiq Isa appealed to the people of Ijumu local government to give their massive support to the re election of governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja in the November 16 governorship election.

Hon Taufiq Isa emphasized on the need for the people of Kogi west to give what he described as a "bloc" votes for Governor Bello because according to him, the massive turnout and support the Kogi westerners will give to the governor will determine their political fortune in the next political dispensation of the state.

Also speaking at the occasion, the former member House of Representatives, representing Lokoja/Kotor - Karfe federal constituency who is the Director General APC/Bello/Onoja campaign council Kogi West, Hon Haruna Isa expressed satisfactory towards the readiness of the people of Ijumu to re elect governorship Yahaya Bello into office come November 2016.

The Director General of Bello/Onoja campaign council of Ijumu Local government, Hon Adewale Omofaiye exuded confidence of winning the Local Government for the Governor.

Omofaiye, while speaking at the occasion said that he is pleased with the members of the campaign council, boasting that the team is capable of delivering for Governor Yahaya in the forthcoming election.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Hon. Haruna Isa,former Member House of representatives, Lokoja/Koton - Karfe federal constituency who is also the Director General APC/Bello/Onoja Campaign council,Kogi West,Director General APC/Bello/Onoja campaign council Ijumu Local government, Hon Adewale Omofaiye.

Other speakers who aired their view at the inaugural ceremony includes,Commissioner of Commerce and Industry,Hon.Sunday Tolorunleke,Member Representing Ijumu at Kogi State House of Assembly,Hon.Olusola Kilani,Former Local Government Chairman, Hon.Fehinti Dada,House of Assembly ADC candidate,Hon.Shuaib Ipinmisho,former State Treasurer, Comr.Ismail Adesayo.
