Npower is not useless. There are so many people sleeping on that site just to be recruited ooo. Because this country is futureless.

From the inception of the scheme the federal government made it very clear that the project was to run for two years, so this out cry is not worth it because the beneficiaries of the scheme know what they signed up for from the very start of the program,The government even did well by extending the program by one more year for the batch A beneficiaries. If the loan actually works out, it would be a good stepping stone for the beneficiaries to start something else.

This government is really confused. Why didn't they think of something more profitable and benefitial than dashing out the elucive , non existent 30k. There are a whole lot that can be done to employ the youths in Nigeria. After scrapping this one, they should do something about the 70 naira per plate home grown feeding scam that even their ekuke dogs will not eat

Though most youths a unemployed and broke. Though most of our politicians are corrupt thieves. Inspite of all these, I still dont support sharing of 30k to people who aren't productive in anyway. N-power hasnt powered anything.
You are a sadist ,I understand your frustration is because you applied and you were not shortlisted. How can you say they are all unproductive, this is an insult to the hardworking volunteers .....I swear your type can never achieve anything good in life with this kind of badbelle

Its a temporary job, not something permanent.

A job is something that can pay bill. This is more or less a social intervention scheme.

The money spent on Npower so far is in hundreds of billion.
Only 5% of the beneficiaries have utilized the money to empower themselves.
Program be cancelled and let the money be put into infrastructure especially power.
When govt fix power,it has multiplier effect on the economy as the smes and the manufacturing sector will bounce back

The same government promised not to allow them go back to the street that's why they told them to choose either community police, capital for business, teaching etc, so please go back and read the story again before concluding.

Rather than disengage the 200,000 beneficiaries from NPower, the federal government should cut down on the high cost of governance in Nigeria.

There are so many public office that is draining the money of the country.

I support a drastic cut in the cost of governance in Nigeria to make way for many young people to be empower through this kind of Npower.
