The Cross River State Government on Wednesday, October 16, sealed virtually all First Bank offices in Calabar, the state capital and other branches in the state, following a court order through the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service (CRIRS), Brainnews report.

Reports from a Special Court (Revenue) of Cross River State order with Suit No: MSC. NO. HC/SCT/MSC/BIR/02/2019 between the Applicant (Cross River State Board of Internal Revenue) and Distrainee (First Bank of Nigeria Plc) that the Bank is owing an accumulated tax of over 211 million Naira from 2005 to 2010.

The order was signed by the erstwhile Chief Judge of Cross River State, Justice Michael Edem and Ekpo E. Archibong, the Chief Litigation Officer.

“UPON READING AND CONSIDERING the Motion Ex-parte filed and dated the 25th day of September, 2019 pursuant to the Provision of Section 104 of the Cross River State Revenue Administration Law 2011, and the inherent jurisdiction of the Court, Supported by 8 paragraphed Affidavit, 18 Exhibits and a written address, coming up before the Honourable Court this 3rd day of October, 2019.

AND AFTER HEARING S. A. Abi, Esquire, Director Legal Services (with him E. Esirah, Esquire, Senior State Counsel 1, Lillian E. Ugbong, Esquire, State Counsel 1 and Patience V. Egwu, Esquire, State Counsel 1) of Counsel for the Applicant Ex-parte, praying this Honourable Court to grant the reliefs contained on the Motion paper;

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

(1) A WARRANT OF DISTRAIN ought to issue and is hereby issued against the Distrainee’s goods, Chattels lands, premises or plate, bonds and securities for non-payment of N211,094,450.00 (Two Hundred and Eleven Million, Ninety-Four Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Naira) only, being outstanding tax liability payable by the Distrainee to the Applicant under the back duty Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) deductions, Business premises, Development levy and With holding tax (Excluding Interest), liabilities for the period 2005-2010.

(2) Patience Vouda Egwu, Esquire, the Head Enforcement and Monitoring Unit of the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service, be and is hereby duly authorised to execute Warrant of Distrain against the Dstrainee’s goods, Chattels, lands, premises or place, bonds and Security for non-payment of N211,094,450.00 (Two Hundred and Eleven Million, Ninety-Four Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Naira) only being outstanding tax liability payable by the Distrainee to the Applicant under the back duty Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) deductions, Business premises, Development levy and With holding tax (Excluding Interest), liabilities for the period 2005-2010 until the settlement of tax liability.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT:

The First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Calabar being the Distrainee shall pay the outstanding tax liability amount of N211,094,450.00 (Two Hundred and Eleven Million, Ninety Four Thousand, Four Hundred and fifty Naira) only into Cross River State Revenue Account, using Code: 1203000000/401007F and the sum of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) only is being awarded as cost.”

ISSUED AT CALABAR UNDER THE SEAL OF THE COURT AND THE HAND OF THE PRESIDING CHIEF JUDGE, THIS THURSDAY THE 3RD DAY OF OCTOBER, 2019,” the ORDER read.

Dear parents, I hope you are not guilty of this? You are dressing up before your 2 years old son/daughter; you say he/she doesn't know anything yet? That's very cruel.

Some couples will be having sex while their close-to-2-years old child will be in their room with them; they'll feel and think that he/she can only see, he/she can't understand.

Sir/Ma'am, that your child does not need to understand. Seeing your unclothedness or seeing you and your spouse making love is enough to plant abnormal sexual fantasies and urge in that child. Remember, it is now a jet world!
How will you destroy your own children with your own carelessness?
Don't let your children see your unclothedness.
Don't make love in the presence of your child no matter the age.
The scene sticks to the memory, they may want to explore and experiment what they are seeing.

Stop making free home-made sex clips or video' for your children to watch.
Mummy, sit properly.
Dress properly too.
Stop sitting as if you are in the labour room; parting your legs for your son to see your inner tight and pant.
Be very careful!

Daddy, don't wear ordinary boxer at home, you sit down, your 'thing' is dangling and your daughter is seeing it. There are things you should not wear beyond your bedroom, just for your spouse. Don't say because you want to enjoy your freedom in your house. It's not your house alone, it's a family house/home. You are putting your children into sexual bondage through these acts. The initiation starts from home.

Mummy, wearing ordinary bra around the house in the presence of your sons is dangerous. Yes, they won't lust after you, but you might be messing up with their sensuality; and increasing their curiosity to see the breasts of ladies out there.
Let's stop being 'pornographic materials' to our children. Raising sexually pure children, it begins at home. It begins with me and you.

I grew up in a big family of 8 biological sisters and few cousin sisters raised by my parent's. Out of negligence,carelessness and ignorance thinking I'm still little child they somtimes exposed there unclothedness to me,some even bath with me in the shower. There thought was I'm still a little child i don't understand any thing about sexuality. But the enemy took advantage and plant a strong seed of lust in my life then,Which started bearing fruit at my early teenage years. This lead me to pornography,masturbation,sexual immortality and incest. Even though i know this is not right i couldn't come out of this until After many years,God in His infinite mercy lead me to faith and fire ministry in 2012 .through the ministration of the word of God and Holy Spirit through the man of God Apostle , i went through series of deliverance and i was healed,restored and revived in CHRIST JESUS because of God's Mercy.
NOTE: Baby and children are very sensitive to what they see and hear,that is how they learn .
It's our responsibility to protect them.
May the Lord give us grace and wisdom to raise our children according to His perfect Will. Amen
