An Abia state high court in Umuahia Abia state in the early hours of Tuesday sealed the First Bank PLC headquarters off bank road and Uzuakoli road branch in Umuahia, ABN TV reports.

According to a source who spoke with ABN TV, the development hampered operations in the bank as the enforcement team stormed the bank, sealing the gate at 7am.

The sealing is not unconnected with a judgement debt totaling 5 million dollars.

Corruption everywhere.

Court ordered FG to release NMK, till now nothing.

They only enforce judgements that involves money.

BTW, no story on details of the case.

Some of these corporate entities feel like they are above the law sometimes.

Why not appeal the judgement if you are not satisfied with it than to feel that nothing will happen because this is Nigeria

You're very ignorant, the headquarters of First Bank is in Lagos State and not in Abia State!

Our Justice System:
Beautiful you!
This is what serious Nigerians and the Labour Congress Leaders, should be talking about,in Industrial Matters to save Millions of Nigerians from Cases in Industrial Courts- and the roles of Courts in enforcement, not just the pronouncements proceedures but unfortunately, some Judges in this Country are part of the delayed- justice,as they allowed adjournment upon adjournment until the Case becomes moribond!
A case in involving Payment of Money to the Creditor ( individuals) should always put in a Garnishe Order,by the Court! That is the first Salvo to any Corporate Organisation that ' the money in that account can't be touched, until the fellow in dispute is settled!
We expect more from our Courts,as many Companies and Multinationals are taking Nigerians for grounted ! But why?
If you know the criminal roles of Corporate Organisation in Nigeria, especially when their Companies are involved, you may run from this Country. What about when a Judge refused to follow 'a rule of law the Company laid down by self' ?
Must a Judge becomes part of that rule when she/ he should follow thoughroughly the stated laws'
Gone are the days when lawyers, people , opinions leaders would say ' oh, that Judge is a no Nonsense- Judge' he/ she knows the Law'
A Company that set up a Staff Disciplary Committee for herself( just as many States in Nigeria do),should follow through-that Staff are to appear before this Staff Disciplary Committee Members!
Yet, a Judge saw that,her/ his, attention was drawn to it but chose to giver intensional judgement!
Was the LAW of disputes followed to the later? NO.
The Law is that EVERYONE SHOULD APPEAR BEFORE the Staff Disciplary Committee and failure in doing so is null and void abinitio,as its now upon the Organisation to prove,if they follow the law in pronouncements of the Staff guilty by coming to appear before the Committee- who are wise men from different departments)!
That is why people are no longer interested in going to Court again in Nigeria- time is money!
Please, what happend to us ,as a Country?
