The corporate social responsibility arm of the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Plc, UBA Foundation, hereby announce the 2019 edition of its annual National Essay Competition in Nigeria.
The essay competition being in its ninth year, is targeted at secondary school students in Nigeria, which is part of UBA Foundation's education initiative, with the goal of promoting the reading culture and encouraging healthy and intellectual competition among Nigerian secondary school students and across Africa.

Essay Topic: "What do you think the government should do to control fraud in Nigeria?"



Eligibility[i][/i]

Open to Senior secondary school students in Nigeria;
Photocopies of original birth certificates or international passport data page must be attached by Applicants;
Not more than 750 words handwritten essay entries should be sent in by the Applicants on the competition topic;
Complete contact information (School name and address, residential address, phone number and email address) must be submitted by the Applicants;
The educational grant is only open to students who intend to study in an African University.

First prize: N2,000,000 educational grant
Second prize: N1,500,000 educational grant
Third prize: N1,000,000 educational grant
