What an eyesore!

Can anyone in Kaduna confirm if this facility was ever out into use for a day please?

Nope, its an uncompleted project by Namadi Government and his boy Ramalan Yero didnt bother to complete it.

Maintenance culture, we lack it in Africa generally

This has nothing to do with maintenance, the project was abandoned by the successor of Sambo & El - Rufai refused to even look in that direction.

In Nigeria political lexicon, continuity is missing, that's the problem.

If all that money was given to the private sector by competitive bid on a soft loan basis that hospital will be running by now.

This is simply waste of funds.

That's a suitable site for healthworkers to practice what the minister said.

So what happened to the loan money exactly?

Have they been forgiven of the debt or what's the repayment plan, since the project has been abandoned?

That is the missing jigsaw

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) had in 2014 approved a loan of $141 million to the Kaduna State government for infrastructural development. Yero’s spokesman, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, was quoted then as saying that the loan was to be used for the provision of “critical infrastructure in Health, Education and Water Supply sectors.” Daily Trust gathered that out of the amount, the sum of $43.13million was earmarked for the provision of modern equipment at the 300-bed space Specialist Hospital at the Millennium City.
