For those who ply this road regularly especially those who go through Apapa, Ajegunle, Orile and Ijora Badia, you must be familiar with this road. This is Brewery Road en route Ijora 7up. This road has been in ruins for years with the promise from the federal government to look into the road but nothing has been.

The trailers and tankers ply this road regularly as this road leads to NNPC depot at Ijora 7up also this road leads to Apapa-Wharf for the tanker drivers which makes this road quite a busy one for road users and also private car owners.

Early this morning, an articulated container lost track due to the bad road and poor drainage fell into the water. Though no lives were reported lost or any casualties it caused a traffic jam as the road has to be diverted for cars.

It will be recalled that in June, the federal government of Nigeria directed that all trucks and trailers on the Apapa road and bridges should be cleared, even though the order was carried out but they are yet to comply 100% as some still park on the highway.

Bad roads that's the reason truckers don't fasten containers to truck. If that container was attached properly, truck would have fallen on its side. Fix the roads and a great number of accidents will be avoided

Just as the person above has stated, bad road is the reason the container fell. Same thing happened at Mushin. The truck fell and got twisted.
