Engineers in the building, please what are the advantages and disadvantages of using CEB bricks to build a house. Most Nigerian houses are built using blocks.

bricks have higher cost, performance and durability compared to blocks.

bricks last longer than blocks,
they are more aesthetic than blocks.

their problem is that they can absorb water more than blocks for longer period which leads to their weakness in joints

Thanks for your contribution. But as for weakness in joints you mentioned above, what if a little amount of cement is added to the bricks during production?

they don't produce bricks with cement it's only clay.
