For the ignorant ones asking how will the us government know about money movements please know that the US government is always aware of large movements of dollars electronically worldwide that's why they are always able to trace which amount is moving from where.
An example is the case of Iran. No country can deal with Iran without the US government knowing that's why they can effectively place sanctions on countries that don't do their bidding. So as far as internet scam is concerned its a piece of cake.
