This post is just designed to make us go to your website and increase site visits for analytics so google ads or Adsense can push ads to you and you earn money.

Why didn't you post the names of the apps directly instead of the link?

Android users have been warned to delete these 42 dangerous apps from their device, which were previously available on Play Store.

How these apps keep finding their way into Play Store is still a mystery, however, researchers at ESET have identified 42 apps from Google Play Store that contain harmful adware, something that can drain your data, battery life and gather personal information.

Lukas Stefanko, a researcher with ESET, said in a blog post that each of the 42 apps have since been removed from Play Store but however they not only amassed eight million downloads but also remain available on some third-party app stores.

Stefanko also named 21 of the apps in question

Smart Gallery, Mini lite for Facebook, SaveInsta, Free Radio FM Online, Free Video Downloader, Free Social video downloader, File Downloader, Water Drink Reminder, Samrt Notes for You, Du Recorder, Tank classic, Heroes Jump, Solucionario, Ringtone Maker Pro, Video Downloader, Ringtone Maker, Flat Music Player, Free Top Video Downloader, Hike Top+, MP4 Video Downloader, Basketball Perfect Shot.

You can use services like AppBrain that can identify programmes based on their package name to check your device if you’re having any of the unnamed 21 apps.

According to Stefanko, some of the apps in question have the capability of knowing if they are being tested by security mechanism or not. After a device has been unlocked, they were said to display full-screen ads on a user device.

What is worrisome is that a number of the programmes in question were said to be capable of disguising themselves, particularly, they were noted to be capable of impersonating apps like Facebook or Google when a user attempts to find out what’s responsible for the adware.

Describing this worrisome tactics, Stefanko said,”if the user wants to check which app is responsible for the address being displayed, by hitting the ‘Recent apps’ button, another trick is used: the app displays a Facebook or Google icon.

The adware mimics the two apps to look legitimate and avoid suspicion – and thus stay on the affected device for as long as possible.”

ESET was able to identify the developer of the adware present. Although not named, they were shown to have a presence on Apple’s App Store too
