PRESS RELEASE

Governor Ihedioha Secures $50Million AfrExim Investment in Imo

Governor Emeka Ihedioha's engagement with international Development Agencies to aid his administration in the task of rebuilding the state, has again yielded results.

The Africa Export Import Bank is set to make Imo State a huge investment hub, by setting up an Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) for the entire South East and South South regions in the country.

The AfrExim Bank is an export-import Bank which strongly supports expansion, diversification, promotion and development of intra and inter-African trade.

The $50 million (N18 billion) investment/Centre under the quality assurance facility of the bank, will provide certification and inspection services for various products for exports from Imo State and other parts of the regions to the international market.

The centre, which is the first of its kind in the entire South East and South South regions, is an indication of the responses of the investment drive of the governor as well as the remarkable improvement on the Ease of Doing Business rating of Imo State.

It will also provide capacity building to industrialists, make Imo State a business hub, and more importantly, provide employment opportunities and boost economic development of Imo State.

The Centre is a reflection of the efforts of Governor Ihedioha to restore confidence of investors and development partners in Imo State as an investment destination.

Recall that Governor Ihedioha had embarked on a Trade and Investment working visit to the Annual General Meeting of the AfrExim Bank, held in Moscow from June 20th – 22nd, 2019.

The meeting was a melting point for international fund custodians, fund managers, investors and multi lateral finance agencies.

Nice one!

Rochas went on so many trips abroad in the name of ‘seeking for foreign investment’! Imo didn’t get much out of it besides a row of statues!

Ihedioha should, as a matter of priority, see that the huge palm oyel plantation at Ohaji is brought back to life and profitability! This was one area i was hoping the previous administration would have taken care of!

Yes brother,

A board has already been set up to that effect and would oversee the transition of a vast technical know-how and efficient management of the moribund Adapalm as well as other moribund industries in Imo.

The best is yet to come!

This news and the fake story exist only under the green leprechaun hat the joker governor's head.

Instead of working and looking for true and real investments, this one is talking about A and B is set to do this and that, the rubbish is so vague and meaningless.

Afrexim shortlisted 2 locations in Africa, one in Zimbabwe and another one in Nigeria, but the one in Nigeria is not in Imo, they are already looking for contractor sef while this joker is fooling himself with set to do this and that..smh

My sister,

The board set up are not government officials, they are technocrats appointed to revitalise Adapalm and make recommendations.

The Imo government is currently in talks with serious private investors on leasing of the operations of Adapalm.

Thanks.

Don't mind that otondo. He is one of those urchins that worked with Rochas to loot Imo state dry. We are glad that Emeka is doing his best to fix the state and we are thankful to God for rescuing us from Rochas. If he had continued, Imo state would have existed in a history book.
