This is so unlike Ancelotti. He is usually a very calm coach no matter the situation. The match must have been very frustrating for him.

If you watch the match you will see that the man has every reason to be angry. First, a glaring penalty was denied his team.And just immediately Atalanta went forward to score a controversial goal( offside from all consideration) in which that referee refused to check VAR. ancelotti was not even angry. He was seen controlling his boys and was trying to calm them to return to the field when the referee handed him red card.

Yeah, VAR is a scam and referees these days particularly in the EPL are relectant ro overturn the bad onfield decisions of their 'colleagues' so as not to make them look incompetent.

As long as the VAR is manned by the 'old boys network' it will remain subjective and sometimes inconclusive.

VAR has not eliminated controvery. It has only shifted it off-field. That is from the earthly to the heavenly, supposedly all knowing, god-like realm.
