1. Buhari approves extension of border closure to January 31

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the closure of Nigeria’s border with neighbouring countries to January 31, 2020. The Deputy Comptroller of Customs in charge of Enforcement, Investigation and Inspectorate, Victor Dimka, conveyed the Presidential directive in a memo to the Sector Coordinators.

The memo which was obtained on Sunday said that the ongoing closure of the land borders had recorded an “overwhelming success.”
