When Is Denial Of Human Rights Considered Lawful? by Samayomi126(m): 7:22am On Nov 06, 2019
Citizen can be denied of their rights e. g right to freedom of assembly and association,if such denial is required to pave way for peace ,order and security to reign in the society.

On medical ground, the right to freedom of movement of an individual that suffers from contagious disease, such as tuberculosis, Ebola , could be restricted so as to prevent the spread of such disease to other people in the community.

If a citizen is found guilty of an offence, his right to freedom of movement and even life could be denied of him such as case of imprisonment and death either by execution or hanging by the law court.

Age is another factor that can bring about the denial of citizens right .For instance, a child who is not up to 18 in Nigeria is not allowed to vote and be voted for.

A citizen right to freedom of expression can be restricted by law of libel, sedition, and slander.

Period of state of emergency are also period of restrictions of right of movement ,and even detention without trial ,if the government deems it fit to do so for the purpose of peace.

Developmental agenda of government can equally lead to limitations or revocation of citizens right. For instance, land can be confiscated by the government, houses can be demolished by government ,to expand existing road or to build market place e.t.c . The law however provided that individual who are affected Should be compensated

Right to movement, speech, and the press, voting and been voted for etc, can be denied an individual, if he/she suffers from insanity.
