Bennycollins:
So the poor quality rice is meant for who to buy? And those that buy it deserve not to complain if it is poorly processed?
If you bought something for cheaper than the usual, you need not complain...

They closed the border to financially strangle the South.

And to speed up the pain, they started burning markets.
That way you cant replenish ur lost stock.

Onitsha market burnt.
Then Ughelli Market burnt about 10 days ago.
Yesterday Balogun Market burnt.

Now remember the Army wanted to use Operation Positive Identification as an excuse to put soldiers on the streets in the South.

Also during the civil war Nigeria closed the Border to starve Biafra to death.

Look at how they closed the Border that they won't close to stop foriegn Fulanis coming into Nigeria, you can see that this border closure is to harm the South.

Not everything should be seen with suspicious eyes. This your theory is neither here nor there. Truth be told Nigeria border is too porous and something had to be done. For years government has been supporting farmers through anchor borrower but each year the market is flooded with smuggled foreign rice thereby not making our farmers sell their products ,it has also been found that arms are smuggled through these porous borders...... To now link it to an attempt to harm the south is foolish as the south tends to even gain more with the closure than the north
