No, Sir. If you read the story well you would have seen that the vessel moved completely out of Nigeria's territorial waters. The pirates attacked them in a sort of No Man's Land between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.

The countries along the West African coast, especially Nigeria and Ghana need to do a lot in securing the west African waters. These attacks will affect trade here.
And the equatorial Guineans were stupid for not getting an interpreter who could speak English. Is it that no one in that country can speak English?
