Police Seek Stakeholder’s Partnership To Combat Crime In Ondo by Peezol: 1:30pm On Nov 14, 2019
The Assistant Inspector general of police in charge of zone 11, Mr Adeleye Oyebade has advocated the need for community policing to combat heinous crimes in the south west.

Mr Oyemade who made the revelation at a security meeting with stakeholders in Akure said the police is restrategising to address insecurity, kidnapping, rape and all forms of crimes on the increase in ondo state.

The police boss in charge of Oyo, Ondo and Osun, stressed the need for security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to collaborate to make the state crime free.

He expressed optimism that the introduction of community partnership, organisational transformation, injection of the zonal puff Ada and the inspector General of police response team would go a long way in addressing the security challenges in Ore and Akoko axis of the state.

The senior special assistant to governor Akeredolu on special duties and strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale described the meeting as apt noting that the state government is mapping out ways to address the issue.

Other stakeholders present at the event include the senior special assistant to the governor on security matters, Jimoh Dojumo, members of the Miyyeti Alllah, and other stakeholders.
