How To Activate/deactivate Sticky Keys On Windows 7. by LITIFYED: 10:40pm On Nov 20, 2019
The sticky key is a Windows feature that enables the user to make use of the keyboard, more easily.

Activating the sticky key can be done in two ways.

Using the Shift Key

Going through the Control Panel

Using the Shift key
Activating the sticky key using the Shift key can be done by pressing the Shift button five (5) times. Afterward, a window should pop up asking if you want to turn on the sticky key. Click Yes and the sticky key will be activated.

Going through the Control Panel
Using the Control Panel could be a bit longer unlike using the shift key, though I am going to simplify it for you.

You’ll have to click the Start button > Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Make the Keyboard Easier use.

NB: Don’t forget this information was brought to you by Litifyed.com.

You’ll then have to scroll down a bit where you’ll see Turn on Sticky keys. Check the box beside it then click OK.

Now that you must have activated the sticky key, how will you then know if it has been activated?.

To know if your sticky key was successfully activated, an icon of the sticky key should appear at the right-hand side of the taskbar. Or you can also confirm the sticky key activation by pressing a modifier key and a sound should be heard. Else you must have one an error somewhere.

How to turn off Sticky Key.

To turn off / deactivate your sticky key, you’ll have to click the Shift Button five (5) times again or Start > Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Make the Keyboard Easier use.

Scroll down a bit and uncheck the Turn on Sticky Key. Then click OK.

Sticky Keys is a neat accessibility feature that allows you to use keyboard shortcuts by pressing one key at a time instead of all at once. Once you’re finished using the feature, there are a few ways to turn it off.
