Before Watching:
Here is my opinion, I think the earth is in a bubble or "glass ball". We probably only perceive the top side of bubble which is exactly like a dome. The remaining part of the bubble is below our world.
Earth could be a flat plane in the middle of the bubble.

Doesn't explain why you can see the sun and moon at the same time or why the sun size doesn't change through out the day as it would if it was moving to or away from us.
