my fear is the effect of under ground water for residents very close to the refinery.

Yes land sellers tell us that areas around here will experience massive land value rise, but what about living conditions?

There will certainly be Oil leaks, and if it happens

will there be clean water for residents in those estates situated close to this refinery?

Will there be black soots in the atmosphere like it is at PH, coz beyond the rise im land value. nobody is saying anythimg about the living conditions when this project is in full operation and homes are built around.

I believe Real estate investors should study Niger Delta pre and after Oil refinery establishment to be better prepared for what is to come.

This makes a lot of sense. So much marketing going on with regards to estates around there. I keep wondering if it’s a safe/reasonable investment or not.

I think provision should have been made for the fishermen somehow. Proper relocation to a place where they can still fish and live normal lives.

Hope their children are going to school so they can benefit from scholarships, training and employment that may come as part of the compensation package or CSR by Dangote Refinery.

The refinery is at an advanced stage thus no amount of cry out can stop it now giving all factors for.

However, the people should engage key stakeholders in their community to start preparing for how to hold Dangote to account for environmental protection and payment of fair Taxes that they can leverage for alternative livelihood
