In order to save the airlines image and allow it to run freely during the period that the fraud trial of the two individual will last in the US courts,
The best thing would be for the its chairman and CFO Allen onyema and Egahaga to step down from their roles in the company pending their clearance from court of all corrupt charges.

Mr onyema who is a patriotic Nigerian that has created many jobs for Nigerians and West African and loves his people should allow that love for country to drive him to resign and save the company reputation from fraud until he is cleared from the allegations which I hope he will be cleared.

In the meantime his wife is the Vice chairman of air peace, she can take over as chairman and another person can take over as CFO of the airline pending their clearance.
This is the standard practice worldwide. If this is done it will in the meantime save the airlines a lot of trouble as they can open fresh business account in the USA devoid of signatories of people facing financial fraud charges in the US courts.
This will enhance the operational efficiency of the airline.

Mr Onyema and Egahaga would now use the time away from the daily demands from the airline operations to focus squarely on the case against them.
By setting up a top US criminal defense team made of US lawyers, not the ones that am seeing making weak statements on Nigerian media.

This case might likely take a while for the trial to be concluded, so to save his company during this trial period, he should do the honorable thing by resigning as that will not be an admission of guilt but a strategic move to save Airpeace.

Once that is done the fraud case will now involve former Air Peace chairman and former CFO thereby creating the needed seperation for the Airline.

go commot them from the company na, sebi na your papa employ dem online fool.

Mark my words the airline will go the way of Nigeria Airways and Okada air cos the foundation is based on corruption.

This does not call for any nationalization of airline. Have you read the charges against onyema?
This is not as deep as you think. All he need to do is to resign with his CFO, and face the criminal charges against them.
Hire the best lawyers in the US and clear the case .
Arik and Aero that was nationalized via AMCON, how are they now?

Abeg treue true o, tell me what happened to Arik & Aero. Are they still even operating at all?

Stepping down will not be enough though. Unless the indictment is totally unfounded or it's a listed company so that investors/shareholders have to be protected. And Americans are very careful with such big indictments because the judicial process costs lots of public money. No DA will take such a risk recklessly.

How he can escape:
1. Bribe and do rankadede to some top apc politicians.
2. Let EFCC arrest him just the way the arrested mompha to protect him from interpol.

Efcc will help him kill the case easily..they are a criminal outlet like nurtw.

Air peace is the largest west African airline. It has more aircraft than any other west African airline and covers more routes/destination.
This claim is not in dispute it's a fact.
Arik Air (Nigeria)

Arik Air is the only top West African carrier. The airline operates a network of 30 mid-haul and regional destinations across Africa. In 2017 alone, Arik welcomed 2.3 million passengers on its fleet. It is arguably the largest airline in Nigeria due to safety records and destinations.

For the purpose of argument and public engagement, Airline business is one of the few business that is absolutely difficult to operate without the cooperation of the USA and the US financial sector, mr onyema will doom his company if he fails to seperate himself immediately from the company to free it from his individual criminal charges.

I have read several reactions that the US or people's are using the US legal system to unfairly target mr onyema. My opinion is that that is highly unlikely,
1). US only comes after you if you are acting against the USA interest.
Mr Onyema is not competing against any US interest, his Airline is not competing in any route that any US airline is currently plying and non of his proposed international routes is in competition with any American airline. He wanted to fly Houston - Lagos, India- Lagos, China- Lagos, London- lagos and south America, none of this routes will compete with American interest hence the reason for my opinion.

2) Mr onyema has one thing going for him his airline uses 100% American made aircraft, he has Boeing and Embraer aircraft for those who don't know Embraer though a Brazilian company but, Boeing owns a substantial part of Embraer and collaborate with Embraer for designing a d development.
This is a major plus for mr onyema because being a customer of an American aircraft manufacturer he will have a lot of support in the US business community.
The reverse would have been the case if his airline was using Airbus aircraft.
For those who don't know Boeing is American number one export. The US government listen when Boeing speaks. Boeing's interest is American government interest.

3). Mr onyema is charged in the federal court in the state of Georgia, a plus for him is that the state of Georgia especially Atlanta has the most progressive and wealthiest blacks population in the US, hence a large population of black professionals in Georgia, hence mr onyema will have the cream of the crop lawyers to choose from. As opposed to being charged in a court in a state with few black people.

4). Mr onyema stand a good chance of winning this case, if they investigate the case since 2010, and only brought charges after 9yrs of investigations it means that the evidence against him is weak if not they would have move against him earlier.

5). America is a very litigious society, and that means this kind of allegations are common place in America, hence there is expertise on how to handle such cases successful, mr onyema should look for the best American lawyers for his case.
And invest his time away from his chairmanship position from his airline if he chooses to resign. to face this criminal case squarely.

6) mr onyema is a very wealthy man, that helps a lot in legal crisis as you can afford the best legal representation.

7). Even if mr onyema loses his case which is highly unlikely if he handles it properly. He will not likely go to jail, he will only be required to pay a fine which will be settled out of court.

cool. In my opinion Mr onyema has a favorable prognosis.

Op. see how you're talking as if you owned the company together with him.

Was he indicted as an individual (Onyema) or as the chairman of Airpeace (the company)?

Moreover, he said he's innocent so let him prove himself first.

When he now fails to prove his innocence, I believe he will know the right thing to do.
