Presidential Elections: Why Is America Scared Of A Popular Vote? by panafrican(m): 5:16pm On Nov 24, 2019
India has more than a billion inhabitants , there people directly elect their leaders , same thing in
many other countries. That is why it is fair to wonder why the US that claims to be the world's number 1 Democracy is not allowing its citizens to directly elect their president.
What were the Founding Fathers of that country afraid of ?

You need to ask the founding fathers not asking Nairalanders...

How a country decide to run it affairs is nobody’s business but the people of the country to decide.

Ask UK why they still have monarch ?

It is a Foreign Affairs forum. Do you want us to debate the herdsmen vs farmers issue in Nigeria or how Igbo , Yoruba and Hausa are seeing each other ? Open your mind to the world .

UK having their royals is easily understandable due to the historical and important role their queens and kings played during many decisive moments in the history of that country.
What is odd is the world's number 1 Democracy
refusing to allow its citizens to directly elect the president.

Oh you miss the point. Your topic is rather asking what the founding fathers were afraid of?

You could have also asked what the Saudis are afraid of or what Communist China is also afraid of.

Also remember, why’s Nigeria scared of electoral college
