nku5: What if I can prove it? What will happen? It’s not even a thing you need to make too much research to know. You can even check normal news and you will see the alliance of Azikwe and Aminu Kano. Mind you I have the evidence with me, but I’m just telling you it’s already public knowledge for students of history. If I can prove it what will happen? 1 Like |

nku5: Below is just an ordinary Wikipedia page of Aminu Kano and they captured succinctly his alliance with Azikwe. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aminu_Kano Mind you, I have the hardcore evidence that can even buttress the claim on Wikipedia with more facts. Many of you don’t even know the type of man Azikwe was. You are just blinded by patriotism for not seeing what he really was. Only Nnamdi Kanu understood him (Azikwe) which explained why he never gave Zik any respect, although Kanu too is a fugitive. 1 Like

He never countered Ojukwu while he was alive because he knew.... I like how you avoided the FACTS in my post it shows you are empty. nku5: Boy I don’t talk just for talking sake, I am not a propagandist and I don’t have anything to gain in lying against Zik. I was just trying to narrate to a fellow Yoruba guy what Zik tried doing to the Northern region. He already did the same to the western region and the AG party changed the tune. Most people don’t even know why NCNC was able to win seats in the western region. It was because they deploy people friendly policies and Awo party campaigned on the most people unfriendly policies which was increased taxes. Awo had a foresight of bringing free education, free healthcare, increased minimum wage from 1shilling 9pence to 5 shillings then. The Agbekoyas (farmers) financing the western region saw that as an effrontery coz how will they pay more tax and still finance the education that they don’t know the purpose of then. Just like an aspirant for president campaigning now that he will tax Nigerians more to build a space station. Do you think people will vote for him? Yet, Awo still got the balls to campaign without sweet talking and he did just that when he entered. Read Zik and Aminu Kano on your own. Coz giving you evidence from my end won’t solve anything coz you guys are dogmatic and always chose to believe your elders without questioning their thoughts. 1 Like |

LegendHero: You're a big time victim of Ojukwu/Gowon publicity b.s Facing facts here, ask yourself why Awolowo was purportedly released from "Ikoyi prison' in camera while he was actually held in Calabar? Did Gowon have control of federal facilities in the east at the end of July 1966. When Awolowo petitioned Ironsi in July 1966, it set off a frenzy between Ojukwu and Gowon about who would get credit for releasing him. Ojukwu released Awo at the end of July, but it took a few days for Awo to get to Ikenne, and then Lagos where Gowon staged the publicity stunt of the release on camera. Awolowo was not the only federal prisoner released by Ojukwu. Ever wondered why Awolowo never addressed the release issue openly when he was alive? 2 Likes |

An investigative France news outlet later broke their bubbles when it found out that most of those old weapons were given to them by France. http://www.rfi.fr/en/africa/20170525-how-france-armed-biafras-bid-break-nigeria 5 Likes 1 Share |

naijaking1: Lol I don laugh tire for this your statement. You have more bigger talent ahead of you as a comedian and you will excel by making use Igbo language as your comedy language. @the first bolded, if you’re not visually impaired, you will see from the guardian paper I attached where they said he was flown (helicopter) from calabar prison to Lagos. Go back to the evidence I provided to see that and come back here to apologize. @the second bolded, do you mean after Ojukwu released him in late July, Awo started trekking from calabar and eventually reached Lagos in August 3rd to do a photo op with Gowon? @the third bolded, have you read Awolowo book called “Awo on the Nigerian civil war”? The image is attached below. You deserve to be tied to a tree and flogged to reformat your thinking. Even nnamdi Kanu will envy you coz your own case overshadows his comedy rhetorics. 4 Likes 1 Share

mercyville: Lol bro let me tell you the fact. That Biafran war is a genocide. It got to an extent that I had to stop reading about those war because the Biafran are always killed in their numbers by the federal troops. The guardian newspaper always report the news daily from the start of the war to the end. So we have like almost more than 600 pages of newspapers that documented the war. Same with other western press. Ojukwu knew he stood no chance since late 1967, but he started deploying propaganda and appealing to pity to the world powers. That was the period Azikwe had to voice out against Ojukwu by terming his people rebels coz Ojukwu would not budge even in the face of destructions of his people. His ego was too much to swallow so he wanted to make the war a fight to the end. He was mocked in the press when he fled to Ivory Coast coz with all the propaganda he claimed, no one thought he will surrender in the most cowardly way. Check the behaviors of most Igbos online, they also don’t accept reality in the face of evidence. They always shout without facts and they always carry out actions without thinking. That is their major weakness and that weakness manifested in Ojukwu during the war 6 Likes |

DMerciful: The soldiers and the prison warders. Are there soldiers of Yoruba and Hausa origin in the eastern region in July 29 1966 after the coup of Ironsi? Do you know calabar prison is a federal one and the leader of the supreme military council can command them to do and undo? Mind you not only Awolowo was released, multiple people were released including Adekunle Ajasin and Chief Anthony Enahoro among others. 3 Likes |

LegendHero: Definitely not going to stoop down to trade childish bs with you, because like many people, I used to wonder why the fervent pitch to misinform reality until I started seeing another thread that showed Ms Tinubu, yes the mother of Tinubu himself was being hailed as one of the people who organized Awolowo release and welcome with the young Tinubu assisting!! How nice will it sound for the Jagaband himself to stand on a podium to narrate how he released Awo, even as a child Then it all made sense. I can't argue facts with a person paid to argue with me, remember who said that? Ojukwu mistake was not putting a big tattoo of Biafra on Awolowo face, so that people like you would have not need to argue blindly. That's why despite being your fulltime 24/7 job, you have not been able to convince anyone with facts, except images made after the fact! If you are unable to prove that Calabar was not under Ojukwu control, and that Ojukwu ran the prison where Awo was being held, and that there was no documented forcible federal activity to release Awo, then you are definitely fixated on your predetermined conclusion. Have you even wondered why Gowon took the extraordinary photo op to show Ikoyi prison? Awo was not released from Ikoyi. It showed the reason why there were numerous publications falsely claiming that Gowon had released Awo. Too bad, you are daft to even assume that average reasoning Nigerans will not know the sequence of events. Fake news did not start with Trump you know! Yes, the victor gets to write the war history, but not the facts. 6 Likes |

eagleu: Well you should stop racing against time and stop confusing yourself. @the first bolded, The video circulating shouting people carrying placards with Tinubu’s mom name was when Awolowo first appeared on the street of Lagos (after coming out of prison) on his way to the national conference convened by Gowon. She never said she had a hand in releasing him and all major groups in Yorubaland welcome Awolowo with several banners. Stop trying to use false narratives to back your opinion. @the second bolded, I’ve been telling you and your kinsmen to provide me just one evidence that give credence to your fact. None of you provided any evidence and I’m but ashamed of the whole Igbo race. What is the usefulness of your education if none of you can provide just one evidence to support your argument. So shameful! @the third bolded, calabar prison was a federal prison bro, do you even know Ironsi already made some promise to release Awolowo before his demise? Although the Yoruba bloc later learnt to know that he’s just playing politics with it. Gowon not only released Awolowo but other prominent AG party prisoners like Adekunle Ajasin, Anthony Enahoro, etc. @the fourth bolded, stop confusing yourself, there is no mention of Ikoyi prison in any of the article, where are you seeing Ikoyi prison?? From the evidence above you can see that it was states that Awo was flown from calabar prison in a helicopter and Gowon received him at his office. So where do you see Ikoyi prison that you keep mentioning? Is everything okay? @your last statement, yes fake news exists and the empire of fake news is Biafra republic. Ojukwu was a propagandist up to his death while Nnamdi Kanu has a doctorate in fake news coz we all still remeber his Buhari is Jubril news. See the pics attached below. You can see that it was stated that Awolowo was flown from calabar prison to meet with Gowon at Doran barracks where they shook hand. That was exactly the video I uploaded in the former thread. 3 Likes

LegendHero: If you're going to earn your keep from the Tinubu establishment in pushing this false narrative, it behooves you to prove : 1. Calabar prison, and maybe Calabar city was under the Gowon federal government July end, and early August 1966. 2. That there was a federal Activity, namely, military, espionage, etc that might have freed Awo without resistance from the controlling Biafran regime. 3. That Gowon freed other federal prisoners held in the east like Nzeogwu and some of his co plotters. You can't confuse people much longer with your infantile postulations devoid of basic reasoning: even if you are paid to lay the political foundation for Tinubu and his mom to claim important roles in the release and reception of Awolowo. Either you work harder or they'll replace you with someone with bigger gray matter! 2 Likes |

Igbos are not your mate, in the 1960s we refined our own petrol, manufactured ogbunigwe and numerous weapon of mass destruction under Research and Production unit. ZZ22: lol Zombies that swallow everything thrown at them. WHY DON'T YOU ALL USE YOUR BRAINS FOR GOD SAKE. You cannot produce those things during or after the civil war without producing metals. Innoson is a gem and he will get better.Have you asked yourself if he produces metals etc to manufacture his vehicles? Proforce,Innoson etc are still vehicles assemblers with some percentage of production. Proforce has gone a step ahead by acquiring a metal company in Ogun state. mercyville:Awka blacksmiths have been known for their bronze artifacts long before the war and their ability to make guns and metal wares of all kind, so this your metal theory reeks of what a severed brain would come up with to discredit the scientific and technological innovations of Biafrans. Hundreds of warcrafts built by Igbos are still standing tall in Aba Biafra museum, why not go there and cure your low IQ or even a visit to Aba, Nnewi, Mgbuka, Awka to see the ingenuity of Igbos. When i mention Innoson don't tell me Proforce that also has Colombians as owners. |

LegendHero: There is a thin line between stubbornness and stupidity. I wondered if you ever read the sketches you post as an evidence talk less comprehend them. The only prisoner stationed in defunct eastern region of Nigeria was Awolowo. The others such as Enahoro and Jakande were imprisoned in western region of Nigeria. In fact, Tafawa Balewa's led government of Nigeria and Yari.ba prosecutors wanted Awolowo to be imprisoned in Bauchi so that he would be finished off in prison. However his ass was saved by the timely intervention of jurist from eastern region which allowed Awolowo to be imprisoned in Calabar. In addition, the crap indicated that Awolowo, Enahoro and even Jakande inherited some plumb positions in Gowon's regime, one wonders why Michael Okpara was not given any position. Was Michael Okpara also imprisoned with Awolowo and Enahoro? In one of your wasteful sketches, therein the fact that a military governor in eastern region did not recognize the central government led by Gowon. If Gowon's authority did not carry water in eastern region, how could he release a political prisoner in Calabar? Only a fool does not realize that the ploy employed by Gowon was meant to fool the entire people of western region and midwestern region of Nigeria. |

Ademoyega and Banjo were holed up in eastern region, Gowon was able to release Adaka Boro from cell and absorbed him into the army with rank of Major yet the jackass never saw a military parade ground in his freaking life. Why Gown did not release Ademoyega, Banjo and other soldiers incarcerated in eastern region into Nigerian armed forces? Mind you, Gowon needed trained army officers to man the newly formed battalions for the war. |
