I do not want to come across as a Killjoy, but please, it is wrong to call him an Engineer, he has not done anything special here, and it is an embarrassment to the image of this nation to make it appear as if he is a genius or something just because he did something Most US High school students with interest in Cars do far better and regularly.

This is a very very ordinary bodywork project that carshops and modders do popularly across the US and the developed world, even south Africa. You will never see a serious car enthusiast drooling over this.

This is just metal fabrication and welding plus painting. If you know what goes into designing and building a real car from scratch, you will not be all over this.
Even innoson Just assembles car parts, he doesn't design or manufacture.

Mods like this are fairly common in Abuja and Lagos, they tend to be even better and more practical than this.

There are legal and image implications to this against the perception of the general body of Engineers in Nigeria by the world, things like this dont help our image, also You don't call yourself an Engineer publicly in Nigeria unless you are COREN registered.

Do not persist in calling quacks Engineers, it is illegal and very bad.

It is like calling a Traditional healer a Medical Doctor, a lot of people would have been misled before realising the NMA is not the body that certified such "Doctor"

You can change his descriptor to Designer or even Inventor, but not a Nigerian Engineer, its embarrassing.

Appreciate efforts no matter how small; this is exactly how Dangote started; importing finished goods, then started producing in-house. Today, the rest is history.

That's how car manufacture is, everything is never made from a factory anyway, they are obvioulsy outsourced from 100s of suppliers across the world. Even the iphone has a very complex supply chain spanning continents.
It's like saying you didn't cook your jollof rice from scratch because you didn't plant the rice, pepper, manufacture the salt,oil and pot in your house.

This is good custom design and fabrication. Dude just needs to partner with some good investor and the sky will be a unit. Better than all those cranky scrap designs I see over the place.

He's a certified Engineer. He studied Engineering abroad, was offered a job there but he declined the offer and returned to Nigeria to chase his dream.

A bit of background check on him would have saved you from this embarrassing comment �
