I experienced this and I'm still experiencing it(though I can barely hear the sound.) I was told its caused by stress and loud noise. Your best bet is to Visit an ENT DOCTOR. I know its really discomforting.Just take care. Is it on both ears? |

You are dealing with Tinnitus. Tinnitus itself is not a disease, merely a symptom of one. So it has no cure. You should visit an ENT center and have your ears checked. You only get that noise in your ear when there's something wrong with the ability of your ears to perceive sounds, so the humming you hear is an attempt by your ears to assure themselves that they are not useless - "If the right sound is not coming through, we'll make the right sound". It would go away if you are able to successfully treat the root cause. Other times, it'll just stop naturally without any treatment. How long have you been hearing the sound? |

You have tinnitus Are you exposed to loud music all the time? Do you have a cold? Did you yawn or sneeze forcefully and your ears popped? Do you constantly clean your ears with qtips?
