A man humbly took to his social media page to call for help from Nigerians to help him pay up the hospital bills for his wife and new born after she gave birth through Cesarean section.

According to the man, his wife gave birth to their newborn through a Cesarean section which they did not plan for and since she had their baby in November 6th 2019, the hospital has held them and refused to discharge them until the balance of N170,000 is paid.



Having no other means to raise the money from his Keke business, he took his plea to Nigerians via Twitter and the response he got was beyond his imagination.

He wrote;

Please help me Nigerians my wife and child have been held up in the hospital since November 6th 2019 because we are unable to settle the Medical Bills shr gave birth through C.S which we didn’t plan towards it..I’m a Keke Napep Driver I’m pleading on you all to help me please

After he made this post, Nigerians began responding, sending their donations to the account number provided while he gave full account of every dime that he received. He shared screenshots of the alerts as they came and his account balance.

Before the end of the day, he was able to pay N110,000 out of the bill. He shared pictures at every stage. Some people sent other gifts to his newborn and wife including one who promised to pay his son salary for the next 1 year.

As at the time of this post, he stated that he has now raised a total of N849,800.

I can just imagine if it was Nairaland the guy came. Investigators would have surfaced and we would have seen things like:

"Post your child's birth certificate "

"Why did you impregnate your wife when you knew you couldn't afford hospital bills"

"Snap a picture with your wife and baby in the hospital with the doctor and nurses and hold up a paper with "nairaland" written on it"
