Women groups under the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday took to the streets of Abuja to protest the killing of a PDP women leader in Kogi State recently.

Recall that the PDP women leader Salome Abuh was killed in Kogi in the wake of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

The protesting women say Nigerians cannot continue to live in fear anytime there is an election while calling on the Federal Government to ensure that the killers of Abuh are prosecuted and justice served.

Investigations into the killing of Abuh is ongoing as police have arrested six persons in connection to the killing of Abuh.
