So if Nigeria finally disintegrates, how will Nigeria pay back this huge debt??
I'm just asking...

The lenders will recoup their money by sponsoring wars between the both parties

The most important question in history. The North (Arewa) and West (Oduduwa) will be held responsible o. After all they call themselves “Born to rule and Betrayals of Nigeria”

Nobody should loan us money now. We need to carry the message to the lenders that they are on their own if they lend us funds.

Below for those who think I'm dumb. Una father.

Sovereign debt which is also synonymous to national or public debt isn't in itself a bad thing. It is a very convenient way of securing funds for infrastructural and human capital development by any country in the world. I have read several journals where world class researchers investigated the American economy and opined that the US may never repay their public debt completely. With public debt a country is always likely going to suffer deficit at the end of a fiscal year but if the debt is utilized effectively the country would be at advantage both in the long and short run.

Infact a country like Nigeria which had almost been destroyed by consecutive decades of looting cannot sustain its projects with proceeds of its almost singular export product (petroleum) and taxes. Taxation is not even an option and the public outcry during hike of some government levies is evident of that fact. Also, prices of different variants of crude oil in the international market had depreciated four years into this decade that is almost coming to an end.
This means that seeking funds from external sources becomes almost inevitable if the government must even attempt to fulfill half of its promises. At this stage of our metamorphosis as a nation we should be concerned with if the debt incurred is used to improve the standard of living of every Nigerian or half of it is used to run the Nigerian government which seems to be one of the most expensive governments in the 21st century.
The vast majority of the debt buhari haa incurred cannot repay itself.
It was utilised in unproductive projects like university of transport in daura, ruga and many other nonsense.
Projects like the failed Nigeria air have been used as a conduit to loot borrowed funds.
Buhari is not going to repay those debts in eight years.

You truly are dumb. Don't hurt your brain trying to make sense.

Just stick to bigotry and leave economics to sensible people.

I think Nigeria is sold already. The agreement is that the seller will continue collecting the money as loan and when the agreed amount is completed the buyer will take over...

There is something wrong with borrowing.

Countries that borrow do it as a last resort. And when they borrow, they ensure it can pay itself back.

Singapore had a law that all government borrowings must be in used in projects that can pay for itself.
It is a law in Singapore.

Borrowing is not an ideal economic policy. China, saudi arabia and Norway don't borrow.

Borrowing can be used to build money yeilding infrastructures..like railways, airport, etc....yes..we are saying same thing..borowing is good for a nation so.long as it is properly channelled
