the road or rail or hospital you do not build today because you say you have no money, will cause poverty and unemployment and when you eventually save the money to build it it will cost you 10 times more. it is better to be paying interest on $1b for the next 20 years and have good roads than to suffer for 20 years and still have to borrow $20b to build the same road and pay interest on $20b!
