Funmi Adejoko has added another feather to her cap. As the leadership of Progressive Student Movement has deemed it fit to award her an Icon of Societal Development.
She was awarded because of her Philanthropic nature, because she is a great mentor to the young generation and a professional expertise in her field. The National outstanding award of excellence is as a result of her contribution to national building especially in the aspect of youth development.
It is no hidden fact that through her humanitarian foundation, Engr. Mrs.Funmi Waheed Adejoko has reached out to over 2000 widows, youths and student, where in she empowered them. In fact, she just successfully conducted a Time Out with Widows where she gave enormously.
The prominent PAN African Socialist movement PSC NIG. believes that this kind of great woman should not go unacknowledged, she deserves to be celebrated and deserves more than an award. This will serve as a lesson to all who are in the position to help but hoard it that it pays more to give and be a source of motivation to all those around you.

Funmi Ayinke single handedly provided 15 grinding machines for 15 women, she She gave over 120 enveloped cash gift enough for the receivers to start up a good and profitable business, she packaged food stuffs like rice and oil for over 1000 women present. And even gave her contact for those who wanted to reach out to her for anything.

I believe Funmi Ayinke is trying to teach our society a great lesson, unconsciously. That a society grows when old men build trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. The things she did for this women who she had never met and most likely never meet again should move us to do more good for humanity.


Franco Bacon says charity begins at home but should not end there. This invaluable gift to our society, Funmi Ayinke is crossing the line first and bringing charity to the door steps of those who need it. She believes that we do not live in the world all on our own, hence, its our duty and responsibility to help our co-habitators when they need us. She does not do any of this as a public stunt or because of any future political ambitions; but because she knows what it means to not have.
