The Presidency on Sunday has have major reasons why the Department of the State Service, DSS is detaining the convener of Revolution Now, Omoyele Sowore

While speaking about the reasons in a statement, the presidency has noted the following Actions by Sowore, the DSS does not need the permission of the President, Muhammadu Buhari to their work whether the needs arises

The presidency has noted some of the Insinuation of the media about the arrest made by the Department of the State Service "DSS" of the activist Omoyele Sowore .

The DSS does not necessarily need the permission of the presidency in all cases to carry out its essential responsibilities that are laid down in the Nigeria Constitution " which was the Foundation of democracy in Our Country in 1999
that Sowore is a person of interest to the DSS.

Sowore called for a revolution to overthrow the democratically elected government of Nigeria
He did so on television, and from a privileged position as the owner of a widely read digital newspaper run from the United States of America.

He founded an organisation, Revolution Now, to launch, in their own words, (Days of Rage) with the publicised purpose of fomenting mass civil unrest and the elected administration’s overthrow.

No government will allow anybody to openly called for destabilisation in the country and do nothing

Sowore is no ordinary citizen expressing his views freely on social media and the internet. He was a presidential candidate himself, who ran and lost as the flag bearer of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the February 23 general elections

Nigeria's democracy was a long time in the making and was achieved after decades of often harsh , military led overthrows of government " the kind of situation Sowore was advocating.

To believe in and desire armed revolution is not normal amongst ‘human rights activists’, as Sowore has been incorrectly described.

Again, it is no surprise that he should be a person of interest to the DSS. Nigeria is already dealing with an insurgency that has left millions of people displaced and desperate in the northeastern region of our country.

The Boko Haram militants, who are behind the violence, also fancy themselves to be fighting for some sort of revolution.

Nigerians do not need another spate of lawlessness and loss of lives all in the name of ‘revolution’, especially not one that is orchestrated by a man who makes his home in far away New York and who can easily disappear and leave behind whatever instability he intends to cause, to wit, Nnamdi Kanu.

Remember when Mr.President requested for absolute powers allegedly to revamp the economy in the early days of this moribund APC govt?

Believe it or not, a tyranny will always be a tyranny any day anytime.

The DSS are only acting based on the order given to them from the presidency corner, you can't be floating court orders and believe you are doing the right things.

I believe this administration needs to understand between a peaceful protest to exercise their right to better standard of living and freedom of speech and expression.

It is very myopic and very senseless that the government are relating a peaceful protest to bokoharam and threat to lives and property, when the government also lack a proper structure to protect the lives and properties of those who voted them in.

This fight is not only Sowore's fight, but for our generation yet unborn, so that they won't suffer the same faith we are currently in, we should all remember that alot of people faught our own battle to be where we are today.

What would be the fate of our forefathers if we can't continue from where they stopped and the liberation they have us.

Yes you are very right, I see sowore, becoming the president of this country one day.

The present administration and only trying to make him more popular and be wise to be able to lead this country to the desired promise land and the land which every Nigerians have always wished for.

I have never for once believe in Buhari lead government from day one, he was only forced on some Nigerians. A former head of state who never contributed educationally when he left power, who does he have to contribute, no viable successful business he established when he left power, and you expect that to be able to contribute successfully to the development of a country.

We Nigerians are our own enemies, we see vibrant and young people who are ready to take us to the promise land, but no, just because of #500 and a cup of garri we sell out our vote.

We shall surely survive this, it is a eye opener to every youth to wise up and use their brain in the next coming election.
