You are talking trash. You are not educated or exposed to discuss important issues. This one is clearly beyond your thinking capacity. Go and ask even a US police officer the limits within which the FBI can carry their arrests.

The trash talker is actually you. You are too much of an illiterate in this regard. Stick to the gossip columns kid.

I told you to go back and learn but instead of doing this you still display stupidity

Where is the FBI’s authority written down?
The FBI has a range of legal authorities that enable it to investigate federal crimes and threats to national security, as well as to gather intelligence and assist other law enforcement agencies.

Federal law gives the FBI authority to investigate all federal crime not assigned exclusively to another federal agency (28, Section 533 of the U.S. Code). Title 28, U.S. Code, Section 533, authorizes the attorney general to appoint officials to detect and prosecute crimes against the United States. Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3052, specifically authorizes special agents and officials of the FBI to make arrests, carry firearms, and serve warrants. Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3107, empowers special agents and officials to make seizures under warrant for violation of federal statutes. The FBI’s authority to investigate specific criminal violations is conferred by numerous other congressional statutes—such as the Congressional Assassination, Kidnapping, and Assault Act (Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 351). The FBI has special investigative jurisdiction to investigate violations of state law in limited circumstances, specifically felony killings of state law enforcement officers (28 U.S.C. § 540), violent crimes against interstate travelers (28 U.S.C. § 540A0), and serial killers (28 U.S.C. §540B). A request by an appropriate state official is required before the FBI has authority to investigate these matters. In addition, Title 28, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 0.85, outlines the investigative and other responsibilities of the FBI, including the collection of fingerprint cards and identification records; the training of state and local law enforcement officials at the FBI National Academy; and the operation of the National Crime Information Center and the FBI Laboratory.

The FBI has authority to investigate threats to national security pursuant to presidential executive orders, attorney general authorities, and various statutory sources. Title II of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, Public Law 108-458, 118 Stat. 3638, outlines FBI intelligence authorities, as does Executive Order 12333; 50 U.S.C. 401 et seq.; 50 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.

This combination of authorities gives the FBI the unique ability to address national security and criminal threats that are increasingly intertwined and to shift between the use of intelligence tools such as surveillance or recruiting sources and law enforcement tools of arrest and prosecution. Unlike many domestic intelligence agencies around the world, the FBI can shift seamlessly between intelligence collection and action
. This allows the FBI to continue gathering intelligence on a subject to learn more about his or her social and financial network, and shift gears quickly to arrest him or her if harm to an innocent person appears imminent. The threat of prosecution, in turn, can be used to encourage cooperation to support further intelligence gathering.

What is the FBI’s policy on the use of deadly force by its special agents?
FBI special agents may use deadly force only when necessary—when the agent has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the agent or another person. If feasible, a verbal warning to submit to the authority of the special agent is given prior to the use of deadly force.

Who monitors or oversees the FBI?

The FBI’s activities are closely and regularly scrutinized by a variety of entities. Congress—through several oversight committees in the Senate and House—reviews the FBI’s budget appropriations, programs, and selected investigations. The results of FBI investigations are often reviewed by the judicial system during court proceedings. Within the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI is responsible to the attorney general, and it reports its findings to U.S. Attorneys across the country. The FBI’s intelligence…
As you can see the President does not control the FBI or in our case the DSS. They answer to our Judiciary or to their Judiciary in the person of the Attorney General.

I repeat, Go back and learn Kid.

. committed and, if so, who is responsible.

Initial Appearance
If a magistrate has issued a search warrant for a suspect or if a grand jury has returned an indictment against a suspect, federal agents will arrest the suspect and place him or her in custody pending court proceedings.

If there has been no arrest warrant or indictment, the arresting agents must bring the suspect before a magistrate (or judge), who then will determine whether there is probable cause to believe that the arrestee committed a crime.

This initial appearance generally will occur as soon as practicable following arrest and must occur before 72 hours have passed

Why are you deliberately being daft?

we are talking about threat to national security and what would happen when such who is a threat to national security tries resisting arrest and when lethal force comes in and you are talking about a person who is already arrested.

What part of this whole banter is muddling up your thought train kid?

I told you that rule of law does not protect such a one when as a threat to national security they try to resist arrest. Nobody would appeal to such a one to get arrested. You resist you trigger deadly force from those who came for you. Rule of law is erased at this point.

Here you are gradually trying to shift the goal post to something else. grin

Is your brain operating in reverse?

People can no longer express their views on a country they call home. If u do, u will be ultimately labelled criminal. They will say u want to overthrown the government. The only means we have now is the social media (not mass media cause that's the media Sowore used that has landed him to dungeon) and presently now they are planning to make a law that will shut us up even with the social media. They want to totally turn us to dumbass, like zombie which some people are already. We won't be able to speak nor type against them anymore. The Lagislator arm that would have come for our rescue are the ones making the both hate speech and social media bills. Let me not even talk about the Judiciary. I'm tempted to ask if God has abandoned us in this country because things are really not adding up. Upon the number of churches and mosques, big and influencial pastors and imams. Prayers upon prayers eveyday, yet it's getting worst by the day. I would be planning how to leave this country in the nearest future.

You are crazy if you cannot read the FBI’s approved procedures within the law just like I have pointed out to you all along. Even the most dangerous terrorists must follow due process and the FBI must present convincing evidence before anyone can be detained. They must prove that case convincingly before a judge and the defendant has a right to a lawyer with full Miranda rights. Do you know how many people threaten US on a daily basis? Insult the presidency and all sorts? You don’t know what you are talking about dumby.

If you were in his shoes, what would you do? Everybody can not take sides with evil. You were just granted bail, you've been citing threats to your life before that time , since the court has granted you bail, it ought to have been respected by any sane govt. What happened next? While within the court premises , he sighted gun-wielding men rushing at him, which had never happened in the history of judiciary. And he went back into the courtroom and the idiots disrespected our constitution and went in with him. It's very wrong. Arrests cannot be made in the court premises. They ought to have waited for him outside, had he committed another offence minutes after the bail was granted. Amazingly he didn't commit new offence that could have warranted a breach of bail conditions granted. Whether you consider him after PMB or not is immaterial. I'm not his fan either. Until we see black and call its right colour in Nigeria, we're going nowhere.

Agreed. He was granted bail on all the charges. Had anything been outstanding during the proceedings, the judge would have ordered he be reminded in the DSS custody. Were the counts for which he was charged made by the DSS or the court?

In case you don't know, it's very illegal to arrest an accused while still in court premises for whatever reasons. They ought to have waited outside for him. This govt is just body setting a bad precedence. Nigeria isn't a banana republic. Not even in the military era did this ever happen.

If they ask him, hr would just point to the many terrible precedences that buhari has set.

Our prayer is that the next president will not be a tyrant because there is basically no limit to his power as buhari has shown.
