After about 190 days of anticipating the names of commisoner-nominees of Ogun state, the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has finally submitted 18 names to the state House of Assembly for screening.

The names which was announced by the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo at plenary on Thursday came as a surprise to many party faithfuls as some alleged that some names were reportedly missing.

PLATFORM TIMES reliably gathered that the names submitted did not go down well with some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress and other external forces that supported the emergence of Abiodun as the governor of Ogun state.

PLATFORM TIMES recalls that so many forces which include the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo/ Bola Ahmed Tinubu group, former Governor Gbenga Daniel group, Ishaq Akinlade group, Adeola Solomon popularly known as Yayi group and Prince Rotimi Paseda group all came together in March 2019 to ensure the victory for Abiodun at the keenly contested election.

It would also be recalled that some other forces like the Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka group also joined the Abiodun's caucus immediately after the election.

It was however gathered that since the assumption of office by Abiodun, many of the groups have reportedly forwarded names they want the governor to use as members of his cabinet.

PLATFORM TIMES also gathered the inability of the governor to come into agreement with some of the groups led to the delay in the appointment of commissioners by Abiodun.

However, PLATFORM TIMES observed that loyalists of Yayi numbering about five made the commissioner-nominees list sent by Abiodun to the Assembly.
