CHUKA CHUCKED Chuka Umunna LOSES seat as voters turn their back on man once dubbed ‘Britain’s Barack Obama’

CHUKA Umunna has sensationally lost his seat as voters turn their back on the rising star MP once dubbed "Britain's Barack Obama".

The candidate came second in the Cities of London and Westminster to the Tories after flip-flopping from Labour to Change UK to Lib Dem ahead of the election.

Chuka suffered a dramatic fall from grace this morning after once being heavily tipped to become Labour leader.

Chuka used to be a rising star in Labour and ran briefly for leader in 2015.

He was regularly tipped to become the UK’s first black Prime Minister and drew comparisons to former US president Obama after he was elected in 2010.

But he withdrew his candidacy and was cast to the backbenches when Jeremy Corbyn became Labour leader.

Chuka quit the party in February in a furious row over Brexit and the hard-left direction Corbyn was taking it in.

He then sensationally defected to Jo Swinson's party months later when his attempt to set up new political party Change UK flopped.

His move to the Lib Dems was part of a humiliating climbdown for the arch-Remainer, who once said the country "can't trust" the party.

The MP was accused of hypocrisy after the criticisms were unearthed - including scathing comments about Lib Dems "betraying the British people.”

Hopefully there will be another chance for him in future. Anyway he has the perfect political spirit of a typical Nigerian man of moving from one party to another.

There was a media black out about this UK election. All major media only talk about it in news no live coverage

Hopefully. But people see him as an unstable politician. From Labour to Independent group, and finally Lib Dem

Failure is a route to success.......once you re strategize and give it another shot......it helps form you to be better in what you are doing......only failures give up once they fail.....but winners always catch in to it.

I'm not impressed with the outcome of the election. I was expecting LP to have the opportunity of ending the needless exit, but as it's, Boris will continue with his directionless Brexit talk, too bad!

He did this to himself. Some of us see a politician who quickly moves from one political party or association to another due to internal squabbles or misunderstanding as an unstable character who lacks a clear-cut ideology. He should have stayed back in Labour Party

One supposes Congratulations are in order for the Conservatives.

Appears nationalist fervour is sweeping across the West. This election indirectly foretells the landslide to come next November across the Atlantic.

Was carried on CNN yes but your point is moot.

Corbyn is damaged goods.

Being the spearhead of Labour, his reputation as anti-semitic, Pro-IRA and persona non grata to service and ex servicemen alike, whether true or not, was bound to tarnish any chance of on-the-fence voters going with Labour.

Corbyn should have been ditched a long time ago.

This election was about the people. Forget media noise.

They wanted Brexit but the media will paint a picture of confusion.
