The Residents of Royal Palm Estate,Odeyi behind Bethlehem Girls College,Badagry Expressway,Lagos, is presently facing the fear and challenge of their lives as a particular suspected and fearless land grabber, Jelili Shina popularly known as Okanlomo has out of sheer effrontry and lawlessness erected structures on the road setback as well as the drainage in the area.

Okanlomo who has allegedly been behind fatal atrocities in the whole of Abule-Ado area ignored communal and state regulations, started the erection of this substandard structures which now barricades the flow of air and water in the drainage,a situation which spells environmental/climatic hazard for residents.

It was gathered that the cry of the already intimidated residents reached the ministry of physical planning Lagos state and officials were sent to mark the illegal structures. Despite this action by the Lagos state authorities,it was learnt that Okanlomo continued construction to the point that it is near completion.

Worried by the audacity of Okanlomo, the residents through their consultants, invited a media house,Voice Out Nigeria News to see the areas in view. Sequel to this, it was gathered that the media house wrote to relevant Lagos State authorities providing them also with pictorial evidences, efforts which the residents said did not still deter Okanlomo who continued building fearlessly .

Some of the residents who craved anonymity expressed worry that the brazen act of lawlessness of Okanlomo portends danger of a possible communal/inter-tribe crisis, the reason they are seeking government intervention urgently.
