Almost the whole SW were with AD then but PDP still zoned the Presidency to SW and Obasanjo won with the votes of SE and the North .
check the ratio of the votes. It will be 45% to 55% or 40% to 60% for other regions except south east for the ruling party and other parties. The ratios were always very close. In south east, you will have 90% to 10%, 80% to 20% votes difference. That is a clear language that they want no other party but pdp. It is my prayer that an Igboman wins but south east must learn to give equal opportunity to every party. You can't call Apc muslim or northern party and expect them to give u ticket.

How well did SW give opportunity to PDP in 1999 and 2003?

PDP had all governors in SW apart from Lagos by 2003. SW started out with AD in 1999 but split by 2003. Check how many members of PDP won in the Nass. AD had majority in south west but pdp also had many.

PDP policies are aligned with Igbo way of politics and as such we will support PDP to return to power irrespective of who they pick as presidential candidate. The only exception is if APC picks an Igbo candidate
Area4Area:
Get this into your skull and stop deceiving yourself, the PDP and APC are not giving the SE anything, any Igbo who wants to contest should look for other parties.

Who is feeding you this beer parlour gossips? Bubu and Tinubu were working to make 2011 a reality but couldn't agree on certain terms of sharing positions before Tinubu abandoned the whole thing. It was Hell Rufai and Bakare that made the coalition possible and successful for 2015!
Seetto:

Blame gej for conspicuously marginalizing southwest, despite huge support they gave him in 2011 election, buhari approached tinubu to form alliance, tinubu declined instead presented a weak candidate nuhu ribadu as ACN candidate to pave way for gej to win election, this works out perfectly with gej winning all southwest states except osun, instead he preferred to form government with the north and sidelined southwest.

Your choice my brother but I know for a fact Yoruba's don't have to support Igbos. That is our constitution guaranteed right.

mrvitalis:

So Igbo's should back Yoruba's ?
Re: 2023: South South May Get Presidency by DMerciful(m): 10:03am On Dec 18, 2019
It's pure political deceit. How can Cross River that's more eastern than Imo be South South? There's no location like South South! Do we have North North? This is clearly divide and rule!
azimo:
Only in Nigeria some body that is learned will say south south. Like south of South, black people

Why didn't the SE give him at least 50% to make for whatever he'd get in the north?
how can we give another northerner 50% to win as what? Because he took an Igbo man as vice. It won't happen. It better Buhari stays and completes than having another 8 years with the north.

But they voted OBJ ,they voted yaradua ,they voted shagari u have no point
So what should others do, give sympathy votes to the Igbos? Politics can't be played with emotions and sentiment, it is by diplomacy.

My brother, didn't you see how so many Igbos here are saying if the SE is not given the chance in APC, they'd prefer voting for a northerner?

So declaration of Interest to run for office is the same thing as preparations to run for office?

How much support has this declaration got from the S/East? Who are his foot soldiers in the S/East and beyond?

mrvitalis:

Rocha's was the first person do declear interest ...apart from him no there person as openly declared interest ..so what are u saying

The SS are perfectly entitled to contest. They are not ONE group .
We have SS East of the Niger and SS West of the Niger they have no connection

Edo are free to contest just like the Efik/Ibibio and Ijaws and I believe they all have good chances of winning

Why do we all pretend Igbo's are the only ones who really want this country to separate ...

Is this country fair to you ?
A country where the least educated rule and control the country ?

Igbo's want equity and justice ,no matter what ..but if that can't be guaranteed breaking out is our only option

Till then we are Still part of nigeria , contribute than most parts so we reserve our rights

If u say there is no more zoning the Igbo man won't have problem as long as Nigerians agree but to say u want to zone it to south west over south it ...that would never happen ...never

See dz one bragging! irrelevant 5%. Na wa o. Listen to me, it is easier for a Cameroon man to win an election in Nigeria compare to any Igbo man.

Is Rochas from the S/West? What brought Rochas and S/west together in this discussion?

Comparing Obasanjo in 1999 with Rochas clearly showed you don't understand Nigerian politics very well.

This Bros just believe in using some ill defined concepts.

What exactly do you mean by 'Northern' and 1/5th of the South?

Have you tried to always be and always act as the leader while making others to perpetually make sacrifices and support you in your own family?

By the laws of nature, you can't hold on to power for a very long time without stirring ressentment and/ rebellion that will bring your downfall

mrvitalis:

Northern only need 1/5 of south to hold on to power

Magicians:
Good politics is not insulting Tinubu who did nothing to offend Igbos, it is also not insulting Argebe Fashola, Sanwo Awl etc. Good politics is Igbos telling the truth about their failed Igbo governors n criticizing, insulting them daily on NL. I am yet to see an Igbo governor since 1999 till date who is not a failure.

Which Nigeria did not know Ikpeazu is godson to the epic failure Theodore Orji ?! Why do Igbo not open thread insulting him every day like they insult Tinubu ? In what ramifications of development, politics or human endeavor as Theodore Orji done beta than Tinubu for foolish Igbos to insult Tinubu daily on NL while praising the epic failure Theodore Orji ?!

Can you see your life, you said southeast governors are failures and you were able to mention just one, while you listed Argebe of all people and others. as successful governors southwest have ever had.

Please mention those governors that failed in southeast
