Point 3. People now fear the devil more than God. Because the former has no patience and acts immediately, he's now feared more than who they ought to really fear. God's day of vengeance on the wicked is approaching speedily.

It is stupidity to call someone else's belief evil... You are only Christian because the British Colonized you.. Just like our northern brothers are Muslims because Usman conquered their state... If to say our fore fathers were intelligent like other races, Indians, Chinese, Japanese etc.. they would have withstood Christianity... But they were dumb like rocks.. Ergo the confusion we have today.... There's absolutely nothing special about you

Point 1. These serial fire outbreaks in Benin could be arson just like the US wild fires and not accidents.

Point 2. Humans have swapped places with animals. Looting of people's properties in an unfortunate incident like this and during automobile accidents is both animalistic and barbaric.

Point 3. People now fear the devil more than God. Because the former has no patience and acts immediately, he's now feared more than who they ought to really fear. God's day of vengeance on the wicked is approaching speedily.

Point 4. The authorities of other markets should be cautious of future outbreaks as this is the fourth in the series of unfortunate fire outbreaks in different markets across the state. "Once bitten twice shy."

Point 5. If you know you have degenerated to point 2., it's not too late. Have a change of heart and return to the conscientious, altruistic and loving creature God made you to naturally be.

Here I drop my pen keyboard.

Good morning all!

Maybe because we abandoned our own traditions gods of thunder, fire, sickness and great tribulation and ran after white men Tradition is the reason things are terrible in this country. Imagine this kind of Priests and priestesses are invited for public office holders to swear before them before taking any public post. Imagine how much of our public treasury will always remain with us

If indeed this 'ayelala' is so powerful, then we will need to invite its priests to Abuja, the FCT, so that they can place curses on those who embelzzle national money and who don't wish Nigeria well.
This is just my pedestrian opinion.

Can't senate amend our constitution so that politicians can swear by Ayelala?

I remember the 2004 Ekiosa incident, a pastor was invited to warn the thieves to return the stolen goods or face the wrath of the Lord and nobody returned nothing, but when ayelala was invited before dawn the next day the market square was filled with returned stolen items.

There were no thief in Edo in the 1800, for fear of curse and repacution. Benin people knows how to lay curse for relatively anything, and their curse is always on generations and not the individual alone. Little provocation they curse generations.

This is a complicate situation for religious people.
If you don't return the loot, God and the Devil would deal with you for stealing.
If you return it, God will be pissed off with you for believing in the power of the devil.

Generally, Aiyelala is a very merciless deity. He hates stealing with passion. In yoruba, there's Aiyelala's water, when a suspected thief takes a drink of it , he's gone.
