The land was originally meant for government secretariat, the state government says.

According to reports, the land is situated right in front of late Dr Olusola Saraki’s residence. The Kwara state government says it has taken over a piece of land being used by the family of Saraki in Ilorin. This was disclosed in a press release by the chief press secretary to Kwara governor, Rafiu Ajakaiye on Friday, December 27, 2019.

According to him, a new secretariat would be built on the land. He also disclosed that the land was originally meant for government secretariat and parking space of the civil service clinic.
He added that the land was unlawfully allocated to a private firm, Asa Investments Limited, without any record of payment to the state government.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that part of the land, situated beside the civil service clinic, is also right in front of late Dr Olusola Saraki’s residence.

NAN also reports that late Saraki built a house and named it ‘Ile Arugbo’ (elderly peoples’ home).
According to the statement, no certificate of occupancy was issued in favour of the firm.

This is a clear sign the politician see the common man as nothing , How can you make a government land your family property, That means you don’t care about discomfort the land can cause the masses, Politicians don’t understand the difference between them and common man is TIME. As TIME goes on the poor will use the given opportunity and make something out of nothing.

Good thing the Governor is recovering the state's property, but he should also be serious about how to better the lives of the people.

What is this subtle threat about?

Is Saraki more important than the people?

If Saraki isn't even careful he may be lynched.

He should be the one to tread carefully.

Saraki did the same to those that worked for lawal. Collected everything and impoverished his political adversaries. But politicians need to learn from Northerners. Regardless of how bitter the enemity his... You will never hear Ganduge seized Kwankwanso asset or other northern governors going after there predecessors. You have won. Bask in that glory and make your people feel the impact of your government not start some media propaganda to massage ur ego
