A Catholic priest, Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma, has reacted to Pastor Daniel Olukoya’s recent assertion that Christmas is “unbiblical”.

Recall that Olukoya said his church, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) does not participate in the celebration of Christmas because no book in the bible recorded the word “Christmas” or that Jesus was born on December 25.

He added that December 25 is a date originally set aside by the ancient Romans for the Mars festival by the worshippers of the sun. Olukoya said the birth of Christ was subsequently co-opted into the same date to give the Mars festival more popularity and then renamed “Christmas”.

He warned modern Christians to stop promoting such an “unbiblical” celebration.

Recting, Catholic priest, Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma, explained why Christians all over the world celebrate Jesus on the 25th of December.

In a Facebook post titled Where Is It In The Bible?, the priest explained that there are many practices in Christianity which were not recorded in the Bible.

Oluoma stated that there are many other festivities such as Mother’s Day, cross over vigils, etc. that Christians engage in but are not in the Bible. He added that the scripture is not against their celebration.

Oluoma said: “Easter as a term is not in the Bible but we celebrate easter because it’s an event and a mystery recorded in scripture. Same with Christmas, it’s not the term or calendar date we celebrate but the event and mystery,”

Oluoma also mentioned that there are many things Christians do that are not in the Bible and “God isn’t angry at all”. He added that such practices as December 31st cross over vigil, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries are also not in the Bible.

Whether it's Christmas, Christianity, easter or new year festivals. They are all paganism. They are biblical baseless. There's no single proof or evidence that support them in the Bible. Just as there's no single verse in the Bible where Jesus has ordered anyone to be going to church whether on Sundays or Saturdays. As the pastor Oluoma has rightly said, everything that Christans do are NOT in the Bible, simply because, the religion(Christianity) was not founded by God or Jesus himself, rather it was founded by one pathological liar called Saint Paul. Jesus never seen any Bible, neither has ever attended any church when he was on this surface of the Earth. Hell no! Quote me anywhere o!

No Christian season is paganism..check the what paganism is before you people start with false doctrines.

If people want to celebrate, let them be. All these fanatics will always want to impose their own on people. Mfm has always not celebrated Christmas nobody disturbed them. They crossed the line when they now came out to disturb other people's celebration. Must people be sad all the time?
People look forward to these holidays every year, they share gifts, eat and merry. God is not against happiness. If the reason for the season is about God, what makes it a pagan idea.

Abeg, happy holidays everyone, no time to stress. Happy new year in advance.

If this below scripture doesn't correct any person who claims to be a christian and believes that celebrating 25 december as a holyday( christmas day) is evil or that those who worship on saturday or any other day have done no wrong then leave that person till they find out themselves.
The below verse also says that it is not wrong to celebrate the new moon .Even if christians decide to celebrate christmas on the day romans celebrate the new moon it is not wrong,It is just a coincidence.
Colossians 2:16
16.Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Note:I am not an adventist
