I've been doing prison ministry for a long while now, there are no mudrers there,Ikoyi prison is a MEDIUM facility, for petty crimes,fraud etc.
Those convicted of murder etc are sent to a maximum prison,the only maximum prison in lagos is at Kirikiri.

We have a useless system in Nigeria,but they will not allow a hardened criminal who has killed people into a medium facility where the inmates are allowed to move around freely to be with white collar convicts,petty thieves etc....it's a security risk for them. They will be remanded in Kirikiri where they are in cells 24hrs a day till their trial.

He said that to frighten you guys.
It's routine for many banks to take their staff there during the course of their training to show them what fate awaits them if they steal or commit fraud.
