There is no need to panick. Its d weather. mine peels too every harmattan period.

Mine too.

It's starting to peel sef.

I think it's just the dryness of the air. I wanted to experiment to use moisturizer this period but the Harmattan didn't come on time and I didn't even remember to prepare now it's too late.

Have a friend who have been battling with rough palm for long now.

According to her, it happens like 8 years ago. She used to have a normal palm, until a particular day she helped someone to applied Relaxer without gloves. Ever since then, her palm started peeling and cracking causing her severe pains and pricks.
She taught it was just something that will go away in few days, but till date making 8 years she's been experiencing crack, hard and and peeling palm.
It get worse every harmattan seasons, there are days she can't eat she had to be fed by someone due to the pains.

she has applied all sort of treatment but they're not effective.

She said she has been to a clinic once but they couldn't specify what's wrong with her, they only gave her some drugs which ended up not being effective.

Please anyone with similar experience should please share whatever treatment they applied.

Doctors in the house, please your help is needed.

Please help me push it to front-page for wider audience.

Omo. Scabies is madt. I bath with hot water & dettol morning & night. Avoids the sun. Rub benzoyl benzoate ( this is torture ) firstly all over ur body maybe twice a week then continue to rub only on genitals ( thrice a week) until itching completely stops.
All these while do not skip use of ampiclox beecham. ( every 6 hours )..
Use ivermectin ( whole pack once).. two times In 5 days interval.
I'm currently using only benzyl benzoate, but it was hell for me today when it accidentally touched open wounds in my genital.

I'm gonna save this your comment in case I need to use the rest drugs you listed above.

I don't know buh this is one of the most traumatizing health issue to happen to anybody_ I almost got depressed. This happened while in high school, we were to paint some decorative stone with some kind of white chemical like that. After that, I couldn't bear to shake hands with friends, wash or do anything. My friends all made gest of me, my parent almost send me off to India. Long story short, the solution dat saved the day was this pink container glycerin. Just apply everytime you feel dry. Avoid touching planks or overly dry materials...they irritate the fingers. God bless you.

Let her see a dermatologist. Seeing a specialist is way better than just consulting a random clinic whose main resident doctor probably attended night school.

It can just be nature, or she started using some soap or cream. My advice don't use any medication on it, it will go after a while. If the palms are dry or itchy just wet the hands and rub ordinary cream or vaseline. I know people that it happens to seasonally.

Let her go to Ikeja general hospital, doctors will look into it properly because they have teams of doctors

Meanwhile, let her be wearing hand gloves any time she is in contact with anything that has chemical component

Does she still have fingerprints? Probably sustained some chemical burns while touching relaxers. She needs to be careful touching things with her bare hands

It would have been good if you can state the name of the Relaxer in question as the condition started after a direct contact with the Relaxer and possibly the contact stays for hours.
Anyway, there are many hand creams that can help soften and nourish the palm. She should also be using Vaseline baby cream. I hope with time (4 to 6 months) there should be changes. After four months if there is no significant changes, she should please go to a Teaching Hospital nearest to her.

Mine is not that severe because every harmattan my palm becomes sweaty and form rash under the palm which later lead to the palm pilling, but not as severe. So I don't know much since you said its constant. Have you guys tried a dermatologist to do skin test
