I really can't blame those guys......

Your President closed the boarder for reasons best known to him thereby preventing Ghana to trade with NIGERIA and you expect them to allow you trade freely in thier country...... IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

Maybe it's time for you all to return and build your home

It seems like the Nigerian traders at Kumasi are also not abiding with the local laws.. Nigerian traders in Accra most especially Circle and Mokola hardly have problems with GUTA...
the former are more violent, jealousy and envious than the latter.

Why this at this dicey moment that we need peace and unity most? You youths like stiring up trouble. In war situations, the poor dies for the rich and their children to later enjoy. During war, they fly with their families abroad while you die upholding what you belive is right. They later reap what you sow while you suffer! Embrace peaceful negotiation and shun violence please. Biko.

First, were they abiding with all the local laws of the land?

Nigerians are known to always cut corners by flaunting laws wherever they find themselves and call it "sharpness" or "smartness"

Secondly, your Buhari closed borders to these guys for whatever reason best known to him preventing them from trading in your country.

You see, sometimes "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth" make the world saner and peaceful.

I pity you traders in other countries. Nigeria has failed you people.
can u equate harassing traders with closing borders. I know a number of foreigners who are selling freely here in lagos

Which of these parts don't you Nairalanders understand Border Closure due to illegal smuggling of goods into the country and Ban on importation of Rice and Poultry products into the country. ?

For crying out loud he didn't close border on any body from entering the country...He simply said travel down to Nigeria the proper way / import goods into Nigeria the proper way (Aside rice and Poultry products).

Besides, this Ghana ban has been on before Buhari came in power. Please don't mislead people.

I just read a very depressing news on twitter.
Cars companies looking to exploit the West African market may move to Ghana.

Nigeria was initially their first choice but govt issues are frustrating them.

And they have a problem with Ghana because they can't find enough cars buyers and banks that can facilitate car loans.
But they may still move there all the same.

Nigerians are being royally screwed by their govt.
How an economy growing at 7% managed to drop to less than 3% in 2015 is becoming more clear.
Our growth rate in 2020 is projected at 2.1%.
It is not even worth calling a drop in the ocean.

Rwanda is going to grow at 8% in 2020, Ghana at 6.1%.

Biafrans stylishly calling on the President, of the country they all call shîthole, to come to their aid?

Shouldn't they be calling on their able-leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to come to their rescue undecided

They should blame it on the administration in their country and it's useless foreign policies.
If I were Ghanaian, I'd have done worse.
Most of the traders in 'Makola' market are Igbos even.
Go to Circle and hear Igbo freely spoken in buses. Most fashion shops in Kumasi are owned by Yorubas, the currency changers and Sim sellers at Aflao speak Hausa.

Yet Baba thinks the world revolves around him. I wonder what the role of the Diaspora commission is even.

Ghanaians should lock up their stalls and send them back to Ogbete, Dugbe and Ochanja.
Nonsense.

Your President frigging closed the land border preventing Beninoise, Togolese and Ghanaians to freely trade in Nigeria and you expect to trade in these countries without being victimized.

No way.

International Relations teach that there is a ripple effect of the actions or inactions of a leader on the lives of his citizens in such countries.

Nigeria has failed you.

These issues have been going on before the border closure so it's nothing to do with ripple effects.

First, there is a law in Ghana that prohibits retail trade by foreigners. Nigerians are heavily involved in the retail trade however, citing free trade principles under ECOWAS protocols.

Secondly, the Ghanaian government is inactive on the issue, providing an administrative claw back to the application of the law, probably for diplomatic reasons.

GUTA is taking the law into their hands by closing Nigerian-owned shops which they are not empowered to do by law.

These are the issues.

Nigeria is dead and buried. These are some of the signs of her burial rites. She died a very long time ago by contracting deadly incurable diseases including corruption, false pretentious religiosity of religion without righteousness, greed, unemployment/ joblessness, legisloothieves, judisharing, and executhieves propagated by polythiefcians who are bigger than the outdated military constitution and fully supported by a dumb youthful generation of religious hypocrites.

If you have been to ghana. You will never speak in favor of the Ghanaians. Ghana is the most wicked west African country. They smile at you and stab you at the back. They hate anyone who progress more than them including their own people. One thing with Nigerian citizens is that they prefer defending other countries especially those who have not traveled to other African countries. Most Ghanaian made their money in nigeria time ago.

Exactly, closure of Nigerian owned shops has nothing to do with the border closure, it has been happening even before Buhari became the president.

Ghana already has her local laws pertaining retailing by locals and foreigners and I believe Nigerians over there should abide by their rules or leave to other countries or at most return back to Nigeria, simple.
