Democracy is dead in Nigeria

This is the reason they brought the useless Sharia CJN

Buhari is a threat to Nigeria's democracy

Which democracy? Are we still in a democracy?

I’m feeling sorry for Tambuwal already. He should just start packing his loads.

How so boss? For Imo it was a case of adding Hope's cancelled votes. What's the APC's appeal like in Sokoto?

Judges buying time to consult and look for a loophole to overturn election

Ppl keep bringing Zamfara up. Iirc, Zamfara was a case of factional fighting; INEC ruled that APC had failed to present a candidate in the stipulated timeframe and barred all APC candidates.
In Rivers, the SC declared primaries from both factions did not meet legal guidelines (APC-Cole primary against court order, APC-Abe without APC NEC supervision) thereby upholding the earlier FHC decision.
ie, nothing analogous in law to the Imo State verdict. If you believe that judicial whataboutery did not produce the SC Imo election judgement result, then you believe El-Rufai knelt in Kogi in praise of Bello's wide-ranging achievements.
I wish the people of Sokoto well.

IpobAntidote:

When APC was barred from contesting in 2 States Zamfara and Rivers, Democracy was alive. Just imagine not allowing the people to choose their own leaders. That's the worst case (Zamfara) that I can think of. How can you say a party cannot have a candidate in an election. The worse they should have done was to tell them to select another candidate. That's the worst judgement EVER.
There's nothing worst there. They didn't do the primary in the right way and election was too close to have a primary re-run.

But with the way they are doing, Nigeria will become one party system where there will be no opposition party maybe by then you will know the real definition of hunger and poverty. They should not kill the opposition with false judgement where the third in election will be declared winner in court.
