Learn Qur'anic Arabic. by chakula: 2:59pm On Dec 06, 2010
Al hamdulillah This thread in sha' ALLAH will help many people to learn the Qur'anic Arabic. The main source for now will be an easy to use Qur'anic Dictionary by Shaikh AbdulKarim Parekh which can be downloaded here: http://islambasics.com/view.php?bkID=60&chapter=1 for those who for some reasons can't download it or would like to follow it here, we've decided in sha' ALLAH to post 10-15 words daily to learn, starting with words from surah Al Fatiha and till the end of the Qur'an. Another source i'll be using is Al Mawrid Arabic-English dictionary and http://www.searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php for easy copy-pasting. By the time we manage to learn all the words bi'ithniLLAH, we'll be able to understand a huge part of Arabic in sha' ALLAH. Hopefully we can include from time to time some Grammar to be able to understand more, in sha' ALLAH.

NB: Arabic is a rich language, so the meanings we give here are not restricted to them only but the word might have broader scale. We'll just mention the meaning we need, the meaning from the Qur'an translation.

We'll put it by the scheme: Arabic - transliteration - translation to make it easier.

Hope this will be beneficial.

Salam,

zubeyr:

@ Chakula Good job but make you you don't miss words from Al fatiha did you notice some words are missing here ?

Of course yes i noticed that, but most of the missing words if you have examine very careful it seems to be translated already(for example Arrahman-Arrahim was missed and it stand as the second verse of Al fatiha meanwhile, it has been already been there as part a of Basmala and it also bear the same meaning, so that the main purpose of skipping some words from the context is just to avoid repeatation) and the same happen to Iyaka,Sirad and Alaihim. if you have observe well you will find that all the missing ones has already translated.

zubeyr:

and the Arabic spelling also need to be check

However, the Spelling mistakes its happen that is a typing error from the web where i normally used to copy from, but in sha Allah i shall check before posting next time. Thanks for the observation.

Ma'asalam.
