Good initiative, but Dr Olusola Ayoola, needs to provide information on how Nigerian business can develop a business relationship with Western companies, the business engagement process can be quite complex and expensive, for example, the Western company will expect that an indemnity insurance cover and contract will be in place to protect their business relationship. The best option is for Nigerian businesses to engage with Nigerian working in the technology space in the West and let them be the face of your business. 3 Likes |

This is a wonderful initiative that would open the door to a plethora of attendant opportunities, from upskilling our youth, thus preparing them for industry 4.0, to providing jobs and forex in the long run. Countries like the UK, because of the language barrier with the Asians (imagine trying to figure out an all-Chinese manual for a machine/product you had manufactured in China or trying to communicate with them for additional explanation/technical consultation), looking to contract cheaper technical labor, would begin to outsource their projects to Nigerian engineers and companies/labs, the foremost of which will stem from initiatives such as this. Case in view: Walmart and the Bangladeshi seamstresses. Ours, however is super technical labor and expert consultation, that requires some form of formal education and certification. In the long term, this will drive forex, provide jobs, and improve GDP, as Nigeria trades with these foreign companies and exports homegrown products/services/solutions abroad and to other African countries.
