Did Judas Actually Betray Jesus? by princeSammyz: 8:28am On Jan 19, 2020 |
Hello, and happy Sabbath people of God. I was going through Matthew's account on Judas' role in the death of Jesus and I was a bit puzzled on the actual substance of betrayal in the events so described (Mat 27 I think). So, I thought I should bring this up here. What significant role did Judas play that aided in Jesus' death? The 30 pieces of money was paid for what role actually? Why was the 'betraying' kiss of any significance at all when Jesus' identity was not a secret neither was he hiding. Was it just a ceremonial betrayal? If you were a Judge, would you pass the guilty verdict on the betraying Judas? Please share your thoughts. |

princeSammyz:The Location of Jesus at that particular night was unknown to everybody except his 12 disciples. Judas brought the Roman soldiers to his secret location and identified him by kissing him. The reason he had to identify him was because Jesus was not physically recognizable by Roman soldiers,he was popular among the Jews and neighbouring cities but the Romans do not know much about him, especially how he looks. 2 Likes |

Greatzeus:He was teaching in the Synagogue. On the streets. Healing the sick and he had many follower. Even soldiers came to him to heal their wards. So his identity was not in question. I think neither was his location, he was still going to join them the next Sabbath. Maybe Judas was only a victim in the scheme of things. Someone had to fulfil scriptures. 3 Likes 1 Share |

First of all we need to remember that both mattew and john who were the only gospel writers among the other writers of jesus' life on earth that actually witnessed jesus' betrayal and death first hand (the others being mark and luke who simply collected their facts from people) .......so definitely everything we read in was from the perspective of jesus' disciples who probably saw everything as Betrayal, but here is my theory that actually makes much sense............Judas never wanted to betray jesus, but was choosen/told to do it by jesus himself, jesus probably told him that it will be the Sacrifice he will have to make. |

princeSammyz:Go and read the gospel, many times the Bible says that the Pharisees and other sect could not do anything to him ' because they fear the people(crowd). They had to plan to arrest him secretly, when the crowd or multitude wont be around. They need to know where he will be when he his not with the crowd, and thats what Judas help them to do. He was arrested in the midnight and his trial was conducted immediately, where he was pronounced guilty. But they had to take him to Pilate to confirm their judgement since they are under Roman rule. 1 Like |

MISHIGAS! princeSammyz: RIGHT WHEN THINK: "THAT IS THE STUPIDEST POST I WILL EVER READ!" EVER-DEPENDABLE NAIRALAND BRINGS FORTH SOMEONE ELSE TO RAISE THE BAR FOR IDIOTICUS MAXIMUS! doublecross: THIS IS THE OYINBO RHETORICAL PERFIDY CALLED "WEASEL-WORDS:" IN ACTUAL FACT, NO ONE EVER MADE SUCH FINDINGS. When The Scriptures were written in relation to the Events they depict is irrelevant, because they are written by inspiration of The Spirit of God, the LEAST EFFECT of Which is TOTALLY-RECALL. Worshippers of God are expected to receive the same Spirit, write their own Scriptures, and be Rewarded for so doing. . JOHN 14:21-27. 21. "He that hath my Commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." 22. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, "Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the World?" 23. Jesus answered and Said unto him, "If a man love me, he will keep my Words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24. "He that loveth me not keepeth not my Sayings: and the Word which ye hear is not mine, but The Father's Which sent me. 25. "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26. "But The Comforter, Which is The Holy Ghost, Whom The Father will send in my Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have Said unto you. 27. "Peace I leave with you, my Peace I give unto you: not as the World giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Jenwitemi: NO ONE WHO TEACHES MEN THAT YESHUA IS THE CHRIST BELIEVES IT- THEY ARE ALL ALWAYS DECEIVERS! The term "CHRIST" means "Anointed One." Lord Yeshua was not Anointed when he was crucified; he was the OPPOSITE of Anointed when that happened. That proves that you are an UNBELIEVER. .. MATTHEW 5:16-20. 16. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your Good Works, and glorify your Father Which is in Heaven. 17. "Think not that I am come to destroy The Law, or The Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18. "For verily I Say unto you, 'TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED.' 19. "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in The Kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in The Kingdom of Heaven. 20. "For I Say unto you, 'THAT EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL EXCEED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES, YE SHALL IN NO CASE ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.' ". No one who breaks the least Commandments of Lord Yeshua can be a HERO in Christianity. . MATTHEW 7:12. 12. "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is The Law and The Prophets." TO CALL YUDAH OF ISCARIOT A "HERO" IS THE HEIGHT OF INSANITY AND STUPIDITY. . MATTHEW 10:4. 4. Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. . MATTHEW 17:22-23. 22. And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, "The Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: 23. And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again." And they were exceeding sorry. . MATTHEW 20:18-19. 18. "Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man shall be betrayed unto the Chief Priests and unto the Scribes, and they shall condemn him to Death, 19. *And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again." . MATTHEW 24:8-10. [8]All these are the beginning of sorrows. [9]Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [10]And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. . MATTHEW 26:1-16. AND it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his Disciples, 2. "Ye know that after two days is (The Feast of) The Passover, and The Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. 3. Then assembled together the Chief Priests, and the Scribes, and the Elders of the people, unto the palace of the High Priest, who was called Caiaphas, 4. And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill (him). 5. But they said, "NOT ON THE FEAST (DAY), LEST THERE BE AN UPROAR AMONG THE PEOPLE." 6. Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the Leper, 7. There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat (at meat). 8. But when his Disciples saw (it), they had indignation, saying, "TO WHAT PURPOSE (IS) THIS WASTE? 9. "FOR THIS OINTMENT MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOLD FOR MUCH, AND GIVEN TO THE POOR." 10. When Jesus understood (it), he said unto them, "Why trouble ye the woman? For she hath wrought a Good Work upon me. 11. "For ye have the Poor always with you; but me ye have not always. 12. "For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did (it) for my Burial. 13. "Verily I Say unto you, 'WHERESOEVER THIS GOSPEL SHALL BE PREACHED IN THE WHOLE WORLD, (THERE) SHALL ALSO THIS, THAT THIS WOMAN HATH DONE, BE TOLD FOR A MEMORIAL OF HER.' " 14. Then one of The Twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the Chief Priests, 15. And said unto them, "What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? " And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. 16. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. . MATTHEW 26:21-25. 21. And as they did eat, 'THAT ONE OF YOU SHALL BETRAY ME.' " 22. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, "Lord, is it I?" 23. And he answered and Said, "He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. 24. "The Son of Man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom The Son of Man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born." 25. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, "Master, is it I?" He Said unto him, "Thou hast said." . MATTHEW 26:45-50. 45. Then cometh he to his Disciples, and saith unto them, "Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of Sinners. 46. "Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me. 47. And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the Chief Priests and Elders of the people. 48. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, "Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast." 49. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, "Hail, Master;" and kissed him. 50. And Jesus said unto him, "Friend, wherefore art thou come?" Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. . MATTHEW 27:1-10. WHEN the morning was come, all the Chief Priests and Elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to Death: 2. And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the Governor. 3. Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the Chief Priests and Elders, 4. Saying, "I have Sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us? See thou to that." 5. And he cast down the pieces of silver in The Temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. 6. And the Chief Priests took the silver pieces, and said, "IT IS NOT LAWFUL FOR TO PUT THEM INTO THE TREASURY, BECAUSE IT IS THE PRICE OF BLOOD." 7. And they took counsel, and bought with them The Potter's Field, to bury strangers in. 8. Wherefore that field was called, "THE FIELD OF BLOOD, 9. Then was fulfilled that which was Spoken by Jeremy the Prophet, saying, "AND THEY TOOK THE THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER, THE PRICE OF HIM THAT WAS VALUED, WHOM THEY OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL DID VALUE; 10. "AND GAVE THEM FOR THE POTTER'S FIELD, AS THE LORD APPOINTED ME." These are all the mentions of the term "BETRAY" in The Gospel of Matthew. What do you mean, "YOU NEVER READ THEM BEFORE?" The life story of the most important man since ADAM- and you could not be bothered to read all about his Ministry, before making stupid remarks? princeSammyz: WERE YOU BORN AN IDIOT, OR DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE AN EXTENSIVE COURSE? The Words of Lord Yeshua are The Pathway to EVERLASTING LIFE. Does THAT interest you? oaroloye: THIS is the ONLY Knowledge that is WORTH KNOWING. Do YOU want to know It? No. You do not. None of you do. People are being blown up, gunned down, shot through, knocked off, run over... I have the ONE CHEAP SOLUTION to ALL of that- but NO ONE WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT IT. YUDAH OF ISCARIOT is more important to YOU than LORD YESHUA. princeSammyz: WHAT FOOL NEEDS TO ASK THIS SORT OF QUESTION? Thirty pieces of Silver was the going rate for a man. Yudah of Iscariot SOLD his Master. to the Sanhedrin. Don't you know ANYTHING? . EXODUS 21:28-32. 28. "If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29. "But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death. 30. "If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him. 31. "Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him. 32. "If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned." princeSammyz: YOU HAVE TO BE ENORMOUSLY UNINTELLIGENT AND IGNORANT TO SAY SUCH A THING. 1. How could the thugs possibly recognize Yeshua on their own? They could have all seen him when he came to YASHARAYLIM for the Feasts, but even then, they would not have been close. 2. How could they avoid mistaking him for one of his Disciples? Paul's experience proved that it was a big deal, should the wrong person be arrested. 3. They had no reason to expect Lord Yeshua to cooperate with his arrest. What if the Disciples deliberately tried to confuse his identity, so that he could escape? They had lost him before in broad daylight. This was so late at night, that the Disciples set to watch over him slept off three times. princeSammyz: ONLY THE MOST STUPID PERSONS WOULD THINK THAT! . LEVITICUS 19:14. 14. "Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I (am) The LORD." . NUMBERS 15:27-31. 27. "And if any man Sin through Ignorance, then he shall bring a She Goat of the first year for a Sin Offering. 28. "And the Priest shall make an Atonement for the Soul that Sinneth Ignorantly, when he Sinneth by Ignorance before The LORD, to make an Atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. 29. " Ye shall have one Law for him that Sinneth Ignorantly (both for) him that is born among the Children of Israel, and for the Stranger that sojourneth among them. 30. "But the Soul that doeth (ought) presumptuously, (whether he be) born in the land, or a Stranger, the same reproacheth The LORD; and that Soul shall be cut off from among his people. 31. "Because he hath despised The Word of The LORD, and hath broken His Commandment, that Soul shall utterly be cut off; his Iniquity (shall be) upon him." . DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9. 4. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5. And thou shalt love The LORD thy God with all thine Heart, and with all thy Soul, and with all thy might. 6. And these Words, which I Command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7. And thou shalt teach Them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of Them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8. And thou shalt bind Them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9. And thou shalt write Them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. . DEUTERONOMY 25:1-3. IF there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the Righteous, and condemn the Wicked. 2. And it shall be, if the Wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number. 3. Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy Brother should seem vile unto thee. . DEUTERONOMY 25:13-16. 13. Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small. 14. Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small. 15. (But) thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which The LORD thy God giveth thee. 16. For all that do such things, (and) all that do unrighteously, (are) an abomination unto The LORD thy God. . DEUTERONOMY 27:18. 18. "Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way." And all the people shall say, "AMEN." You have no business casting doubts, posing obstacles, and sowing confusion, as to the states facts of Scripture. Just asking these questions is enough to earn you ETERNAL DAMNATION. Ignorance of The Law is no excuse. Have YOU ever experienced CORPORAL PUNISHMENT before? You must be a FAKE NIGERIAN, if you don't know what that is, even firsthand. Whatever you experienced in Nigeria, that is as nothing, compared with the beating Lord Yeshua experienced at the hands of Soldiers, and the Forty Lashes the Sanhedrin were entitled to give give him. Any one of those could kill the victim. Lord Yeshua was not doing this for fun. The person betraying him apparently thought Lord Yeshua would never be taken, and he would walk with the money. When he saw that he was not going to make another getaway, he had no stomach to watch what they would do to him, but went to commit suicide. princeSammyz: . EXODUS 21:15-17. 15. "And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. 16. "And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. 17. "And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death." THE LAW EQUATED KIDNAPPING A MAN, AND SELLING HIM, WITH SMITING OR CURSING ONE'S PARENTS. YUDAH OF ISCARIOT HIMSELF judged that what he had done was a SIN. . EXODUS 23:1-9. "THOU shalt not raise a False Report: put not thine hand with The Wicked to be an Unrighteous Witness. 2. "Thou shalt not follow a Multitude to do Evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to Decline after Many to Wrest (Judgment): 3. "Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause. 4. "If thou meet thine Enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again. 5. " If thou see the ox or the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him. 6. "Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause. 7. "Keep thee far from a false matter; and the Innocent and Righteous Slay thou not: for I will not Justify The Wicked. 8. "And thou shalt take no Gift: for the Gift blindeth the Wise, and perverteth the Words of The Righteous. 9. "Thou shalt not Oppress a Stranger: for ye know the heart of a Stranger, seeing ye were Strangers in the land of Egypt." ONLY A FOOL WOULD NOT KNOW THAT YUDAH OF ISCARIOT BROKEN EVERY ONE OF THOSE COMMANDMENTS- AND COULD NOT SAY THAT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT HE WAS DOING SO! . DEUTERONOMY 27:24-25. 24. "Cursed be he that smiteth his Neighbour secretly." And all the people shall say, "Amen." 25. "Cursed be he that taketh Reward to slay an Innocent Person." And all the people shall say, "Amen." [(02 of 2) CONCLUDED:] IF YOU QUESTION GOD'S DEFINITIONS OF RIGHT AND WRONG, YOU FORFEIT ALL RIGHT TO ENJOY HIS KINGDOM! Your Unbeliever Friends will praise you for your Blasphemy, but they will not be there for you, when your Soul is being destroyed, because you failed to understand your Duty! . JOB 28:28. 28. "And unto Man He Said, 'BEHOLD, THE FEAR OF THE LORD, THAT IS WISDOM; AND TO DEPART FROM EVIL, IS UNDERSTANDING.' " . JOB 39:13-18. 13. "Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? 14. "Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, 15. "And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. 16. "She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear; 17. "Because God hath deprived her of Wisdom, neither hath He imparted to her Understanding. 18." What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider." . PSALM 111:10. 10. The Fear of The LORD is The Beginning of Wisdom: a Good Understanding have all they that do His Commandments: His Praise endureth for ever. . PROVERBS 1:7. 7. The Fear of The LORD is The Beginning of Knowledge: but Fools despise Wisdom and Instruction. . PROVERBS 9:10. 10. The Fear of The LORD is The Beginning of Wisdom: and The Knowledge of The Holy is Understanding. . ISAIAH 55:6-11. 6. Seek ye The LORD, while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. 7. Let the Wicked forsake his Way, and the Unrighteous Man his Thoughts: and let him return unto The LORD, and He will have Mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. 8. "FOR MY THOUGHTS (ARE) NOT YOUR THOUGHTS, NEITHER ARE YOUR WAYS MY WAYS," saith The LORD. 9. "FOR (AS) THE HEAVENS ARE HIGHER THAN THE EARTH, SO ARE MY WAYS HIGHER THAN YOUR WAYS, AND MY THOUGHTS THAN YOUR THOUGHTS. 10. "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from Heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the Sower, and bread to the Eater: 11. "So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My Mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but It shall accomplish that which I please, and It shall prosper (in the thing) whereto I sent It." . DANIEL 12:2-3. 2. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the Earth shall awake, some to Everlasting Life, and some to Shame (and) Everlasting Contempt. 3. And they that be Wise shall shine as the Brightness of the Firmament; and they that turn many to Righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. . DANIEL 12:10. 10. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried: but the Wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the Wicked shall Understand; but the Wise shall Understand. . LUKE 17:1-10. THEN Said he unto the Disciples, "It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! 2. "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the Sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3. "Take heed to yourselves: If thy Brother trespass against thee, Rebuke him; and if he Repent, Forgive him. 4. "And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, 'I REPENT;' thou shalt forgive him." 5. And the Apostles said unto the Lord, "Increase our Faith." 6. And the Lord said, "If ye had Faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this Sycamine tree, 'BE THOU PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOT, AND BE THOU PLANTED IN THE SEA;' 7. "But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, 'GO AND SIT DOWN TO MEAT?' 8. "And will not rather say unto him, 'MAKE READY WHEREWITH I MAY SUP, AND GIRD THYSELF, AND SERVE ME, TILL I HAVE EATEN AND DRUNKEN; AND AFTERWARD THOU SHALT EAT AND DRINK?' 9. "Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 10. "So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are Commanded you, say, 'WE ARE UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS: WE HAVE DONE THAT WHICH WAS OUR DUTY TO DO.' " It is most presumptuous of Sinners to expect to Understand God and The Gospel BEFORE repenting of their Sins. There is no explanation of The Way of God that Sinners are entitled to, beyond that It is THE WAY OF EVERLASTING LIFE, and SALVATION, while SINFULNESS is the Way of Death and Damnation. If you do not know that YUDAH ISCARIOT betrayed his COVENANT BROTHER, and committed a CAPITAL SIN, you are not intelligent enough to be SAVED, because that means that you do not FEAR GOD. . MATTHEW 7:12-29. 12. "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is The Law and The Prophets. 13. "Enter ye in at The Strait Gate: for wide is the Gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to Destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14. "Because strait is the Gate, and narrow is The Way, which leadeth unto Life, and few there be that find it. 15. "Beware of False Prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16. "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17. "Even so every Good Tree bringeth forth Good Fruit; but a Corrupt Tree bringeth forth Evil Fruit. 18. "A Good Tree cannot bring forth Evil Fruit, neither can a Corrupt Tree bring forth Good Fruit. 19. "Every tree that bringeth not forth Good Fruit is hewn down, and cast into the Fire. 20 Wherefore by their Fruits ye shall know them. 21. "Not every one that saith unto me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into The Kingdom of Heaven; but He that doeth The Will of my Father Which is in Heaven. 22 Many will say to me in That Day, 'LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED IN THY NAME? AND IN THY NAME HAVE CAST OUT DEVILS? AND IN THY NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?' 23. "And then will I profess unto them, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.' 24. "Therefore whosoever heareth These Sayings of mine, and doeth Them, I will liken him unto a Wise Man, which built his house upon a rock: 25. "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 . "And every one that heareth These Sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a Foolish Man, which built his house upon the sand: 27. "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." 28. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these Sayings, the people were astonished at his Doctrine: 29. For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. . MATTHEW 18:1-10. AT the same time came the Disciples unto Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in The Kingdom of Heaven?" 2. And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3. And Said, "Verily I Say unto you, 'EXCEPT YE BE CONVERTED, AND BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN, YE SHALL NOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.' 4. "Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in The Kingdom of Heaven. 5. "And whoso shall receive one such little child in my Name receiveth me. 6. "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the Depth of the Sea. 7. "Woe unto the World because of Offences! For it must needs be that Offences come; but woe to that man by whom the Offence cometh! 8. "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into Everlasting Fire. 9. "And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into Hell Fire. 10. "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I Say unto you, 'THAT IN HEAVEN THEIR ANGELS DO ALWAYS BEHOLD THE FACE OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.' Yudah of Iscariot should have been HUMBLE and CUT OFF HIS OWN HAND, than receive a BRIBE to DELIVER LORD YESHUA. He did not offend a "LITTLE ONE WHO BELIEVED IN THE LORD," but in the whole Lord himself! [(02 of 2) CONCLUDED?] |

princeSammyz:Christians are funny,How can it be betrayal when Judas helped Jesus fulfilled his mission, isn't that what Christianity truely taught.I thought christians believed Jesus actually came to die for them,so Judas made that possible when Jesus was gonna "Chicken Out" like a Coward,in short all christians should be grateful to Judas for what he did. 1 Like |

MISHIGAS! PEOPLE WHO ARE UNSAVED HAVE LITTLE OR NO KNOWLEDGE OF RIGHT & WRONG, AND SO SHOULD NOT PRESUME TO JUDGE. oaroloye: . LUKE 17:1-10. THEN Said he unto the Disciples, "It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! 2. "And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, 'I REPENT;' thou shalt forgive him." 5. And the Apostles said unto the Lord, "Increase our Faith." 6. LUKE 4:14-32. 14. And Jesus returned in the Power of The Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15. And he taught in their Synagogues, being glorified of all. 16. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath Day, and stood up for to read. 17. And there was delivered unto him The Book of the Prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the Book, he found the place where it was written, 18. "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HATH ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HATH SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED, 19. "TO PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD." 20. And he closed the Book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21. And he began to Say unto them, "This Day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears." 22. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, "Is not this Joseph's son?" 23. And he Said unto them, "Ye will surely say unto me this Proverb, 'PHYSICIAN, HEAL THYSELF: WHATSOEVER WE HAVE HEARD DONE IN CAPERNAUM, DO HERE IN THY COUNTRY.' " 24. And he said, "Verily I Say unto you, 'NO PROPHET IS ACCEPTED IN HIS OWN COUNTRY.' " 25. 'AND MANY LEPERS WERE IN ISRAEL IN THE TIME OF ELISEUS THE PROPHET; AND NONE OF THEM WAS CLEANSED, SAVING NAAMAN THE SYRIAN.' " 28. And all they in the Synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29. And in that same hour he cured many of their Infirmities and Plagues, and of Evil Spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. 22. Then Jesus answering Said unto them, "Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the Blind See, the Lame Walk, the Lepers are Cleansed, the Deaf Hear, the Dead are Raised, to the Poor The Gospel is preached. 23. "And Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me." YOCHANNAN AND ALL THE DISCIPLES BETRAYED LORD YESHUA- NOT YUDAH OF ISCARIOT ONLY! . MATTHEW 26:30-57. 30. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. 31. Then Saith Jesus unto them, "All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, 'I WILL SMITE THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERED ABROAD. 32. "But after I am Risen again, I will go before you into Galilee." 33. Peter answered and said unto him, "Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended." 34. Jesus Said unto him, "Verily I Say unto thee, 'THAT THIS NIGHT, BEFORE THE COCK CROW, THOU SHALT DENY ME THRICE.' " 35. Peter said unto him, "Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee." Likewise also said all the Disciples. 36. Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the Disciples, "Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder." 37. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 38. Then Saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto Death: tarry ye here, and Watch with me." 39. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, Saying, "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou Wilt." 40. And he cometh unto the Disciples, and findeth them asleep, and Saith unto Peter, "What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 41. "Watch and Pray, that ye enter not into Temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." 42. He went away again the second time, and prayed, Saying, "O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, Thy Will be done." 43. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. 44. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, Saying the same Words. 45. Then cometh he to his Disciples, and Saith unto them, "Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the Hour is at hand, and The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of Sinners. 46. "Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me." 47. And while he yet Spake, lo, Judas, one of the Twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the Chief Priests and Elders of the people. 48. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, "WHOMSOEVER I SHALL KISS, THAT SAME IS HE: HOLD HIM FAST. 49. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, "Hail, Master; and kissed him." 50. And Jesus Said unto him, "Friend, wherefore art thou come?" Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. 51. And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the High Priest's, and smote off his ear. 52. Then Said Jesus unto him, "Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53. "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of Angels? 54. "But how then shall The Scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?" 55. In that same hour Said Jesus to the multitudes, "Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you Teaching in The Temple, and ye laid no hold on me." 56. But all this was done, that the Scriptures of the Prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the Disciples forsook him, and fled. 57. And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the High Priest, where the Scribes and the Elders were assembled. MATTHEW OMITTED DETAILS, AND YOCHANNAN OMITTED DETAILS. . JOHN 13:36-38. 36. Simon Peter said unto him, "Lord, whither goest thou?" Jesus Answered him, "Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards. 37. Peter said unto him, "Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake." 38. Jesus Answered him, "Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I Say unto thee, 'THE COCK SHALL NOT CROW, TILL THOU HAST DENIED ME THRICE.' " What CEPHAS just did, he later sanctimoniously condemned two Disciples to Death for, namely: " LYING UNTO GOD." That implies that THE EARLY CHURCH was NOT told HOW Lord Yeshua ended up dead. In his account, Yochannan omitted how ALL of them had sworn to DIE WITH LORD YESHUA. Yeshua had the Power to EXIT his ARREST at ANY time he wanted. Even modern Full Gospel Ministers have exhibited the Power to "SLAY IN THE SPIRIT." . JOHN 10:17-18. 17. "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18. "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have Power to lay it down, and I have Power to take it again. This Commandment have I received of my Father." THEREFORE, LORD YESHUA WAS THE VERY EPITOME OF COURAGE. He could have saved his own life at any time. Yudah of Iscariot never came close to taking that option from him. sulasa07: IN SHORT, YOU ARE AN IDIOT! . MATTHEW 22:1-14. AND Jesus answered and Spake unto them again by Parables, and Said, 2. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3. "And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4. "Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, 'TELL THEM WHICH ARE BIDDEN, "BEHOLD, I HAVE PREPARED MY DINNER: MY OXEN AND MY FATLINGS ARE KILLED, AND ALL THINGS ARE READY: COME UNTO THE MARRIAGE." ' 5. "But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6. "And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7. "But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8. Then saith he to his servants, 'THE WEDDING IS READY, BUT THEY WHICH WERE BIDDEN WERE NOT WORTHY. 9. 'GO YE THEREFORE INTO THE HIGHWAYS, AND AS MANY AS YE SHALL FIND, BID TO THE MARRIAGE.' 10. "So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11. "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12. "And he saith unto him, 'FRIEND, HOW CAMEST THOU IN HITHER NOT HAVING A WEDDING GARMENT?' And he was speechless. 13. "Then said the king to the servants, 'BIND HIM HAND AND FOOT, AND CAST HIM INTO OUTER DARKNESS, THERE SHALL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH. 14. 'FOR MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW (ARE) CHOSEN.' THE SANHEDRIN BELIEVED that if anyone showed up, claiming to be a Righteous man, or a Prophet of God, they should TORTURE AND KILL THEM- because, if God WANTED them to know that HE sent them, HE SHOULD GIVE THEM A SIGN, AND MAKE THEM STOP. What they were saying by that, was that when a Servant of God showed up, THEY WOULD GREET THEM WITH SIN- UNLESS GOD GAVE THEM A SIGN! princeSammyz: . "Cursed be he that taketh Reward to slay an Innocent Person." And all the people shall say, "Amen." IF YOU QUESTION GOD'S DEFINITIONS OF RIGHT AND WRONG, YOU FORFEIT ALL RIGHT TO ENJOY HIS KINGDOM! [/quote] WHAT SORT OF FOOL THINKS THAT THE APPROPRIATE WAY FOR GOD'S PEOPLE TO BEHAVE, WAS TO SEND THEIR PROPHET TO BE CRUCIFIED AS A CRIMINAL? . LEVITICUS 19:11-18. 11. "Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another. 12. "And ye shall not swear by My Name falsely, neither shalt thou profane The Name of thy God: I am The LORD. 13. "Thou shalt not defraud thy Neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. 14. "Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am The LORD. 15. "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in Judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the Poor, nor honor the person of the Mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou Judge thy Neighbour. 16. "Thou shalt not go up and down as a Talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy Neighbour; I am The LORD. 17. "Thou shalt not hate thy Brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise Rebuke thy Neighbour, and not suffer Sin upon him. 18. "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the Children of thy People, but thou shalt love thy Neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD." THE SANHEDRIN DID NOT CRUCIFY LORD YESHUA OUT OF LOVE AND FAITH, BUT OUT OF COVETOUSNESS AND WICKEDNESS! Their forefather Abraham understood that God could not break His Word, and that when He Commanded Him to slay His son, whose unborn descendants were to populate The Promised Land, it must be because He had THE POWER TO RAISE THE DEAD. . GENESIS 22:1-14. AND it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and Said unto him, "Abraham:" and he said, "Behold, here I am." 2. And He said, "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a Burnt Offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." 3. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the Burnt Offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had Told him. 4. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. 5. And Abraham said unto his young men, "Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you." 6. And Abraham took the wood of the Burnt Offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, "My father:" and he said, "Here am I, my son." And he said, "Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" 8. And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a Burnt Offering:" so they went both of them together. 9. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an Altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the Altar upon the wood. 10. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11. And the Angel of The LORD called unto him out of Heaven, and Said, "Abraham, Abraham:" and he said, "Here am I." 12. And He Said, "Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from Me." 13. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a Burnt Offering in the stead of his son. 14. And Abraham called the Name of that place "JEHOVAH-JIREH:" as it is said to this day, "IN THE MOUNT OF THE LORD IT SHALL BE SEEN." ABRAHAM BELIEVED THE WHOLE TIME, THAT HE WAS ALWAYS GOING BACK WITH ISAAC. THE SANHEDRIN, however, KNEW that Lord Yeshua COULD Rise from the Dead, and knew before all other Israelites that he HAD Arisen from the Dead: . MATTHEW 27:62-66. 62. Now the next day, that followed the Day of the Preparation, the Chief Priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63. Saying, "Sir, we remember that That Deceiver Said, while he was yet alive, 'AFTER THREE DAYS I WILL RISE AGAIN.' 64. "Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his Disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, 'He IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD:' so the last error shall be worse than the first." 65. Pilate said unto them, "Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can." 66. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch. THEY COULD HAVE DONE THAT WITH THEIR OWN GUARDS: THEY NEEDED ROMAN GUARDS, BECAUSE BEING UNBELIEVERS, THEY COULD BE RELIED ON TO KILL LORD YESHUA IF HE RESURRECTED. Hebrew Israelite guards would have immediately converted. When Lord Yeshua Raised Lazarus from the Dead, after he was dead four days, their Solution to that Problem was to KILL LAZARUS AGAIN. . JOHN 12:9-11. 9. Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had Raised from the Dead. 10. But the Chief Priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to Death; 11. Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and Believed on Jesus. THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON LORD YESHUA FAILED, SO THAT THE SANHEDRIN HAD EYEWITNESS PROOF THAT HE HAD RISEN FROM THE DEAD: THEY DIDN'T CARE! . MATTHEW 28:1-15. IN the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for The Angel of The LORD descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4. And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5. And the Angel answered and said unto the women, "Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was Crucified. 6. "He is not here: for he is Risen, as he Said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7. "And go quickly, and tell his Disciples that he is Risen from the Dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you." 8. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his Disciples word. 9. And as they went to tell his Disciples, behold, Jesus met them, Saying, "All hail." And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10. Then Said Jesus unto them, "Be not afraid: go tell my Brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me." 11. Now when they were going, behold, some of the Watch came into the city, and shewed unto the Chief Priests all the things that were done. 12. And when they were assembled with the Elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13. Saying, "Say ye, 'HIS DISCIPLES CAME BY NIGHT, AND STOLE HIM AWAY WHILE WE SLEPT.' 14. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you." 15. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. ACCORDING TO GOSPEL PUBLISHER, JACK T. CHICK, IF ONE ROMAN SOLDIER ON GUARD DUTY SO MUCH AS YAWNED, THE NORMAL PROCEDURE WAS TO BURN THE ENTIRE SQUAD TO DEATH IN THEIR UNIFORMS. I believe that claim, because when the Ancient city of POMPEII was excavated, having been destroyed by VOLCANIC ERUPTION, the bodies of Roman Soldiers on Guard Duty were found, buried in Volcanic Ash, STILL STANDING AT ATTENTION AT THEIR POSTS- BECAUSE NO ONE GAVE THEM THE ORDER TO FALL OUT, AND SAVE THEIR LIVES! The MOVE for the Sanhedrin, was to betray the guard, should the Roman Governor hear that they had besmirched their Army's Honour by Sleeping on Duty. They would be executed, and their Testimony would die with them. The Pharisees and Sadducees didn't care that Lord Yeshua could reverse Death: just like none of you care that I have given you the Doctrine of THE TEN TALENTS OF POWER- the only one that matters. This is not the time you have to regret your Unbelief and Stupidity. YUDAH ISCARIOT SAID THAT HE HAD BETRAYED HIS MASTER, LORD YESHUA SAID THAT HIS DISCIPLE HAD BETRAYED HIM- WHAT FURTHER PROOF DO YOU NEED TO SHOW YOU THAT YOU ARE IDIOTS? How is this what you should use your time talking about? www.nairaland.com/attachments/11035111_memeuptonsinclairmanunderstandsalary001_jpeg4cbd10554ff8940b426e00a3f9f6d020 |
Re: Did Judas Actually Betray Jesus? by Nobody: 4:14pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
He did to gain more money! He has been stealing money from the purse given him to keep as the group's treasurer {John 12:6} his thinking is that Jesus has miraculously escaped from the hands of the Jews several times in the past, so the same thing will reoccur and a whopping sum of year wage due for a soldier will become his own! Jesus taught them to forgive always so Judas Iscariot thought he will just walk up to his teacher for apology, and it will end there. So while others are keeping what Jesus is teaching them at heart, Judas was planning to make huge money by playing the Jewish religious leaders. It was after Jesus was arrested, charged, sentenced and executed that Judas now realized he has committed the worstest blunder ever. It's a great lesson for us all, Judas was so devastated that he threw the money away and committed suiside, meaning he later regretted his actions but it was too late! 1 Like |
