The presidency accused the Christian body of being acting and reacting more like an Opposition Party on national issues.

CAN, in reaction to the beheading of its chairman in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa, Rev Lawan Andimi on Tuesday by Boko Haram insurgents, lampooned the federal government for the growing attacks on Christians in parts of the north.

Politics is all about interest. CAN had ls every right to lash at the FG if they feel the interest of the people they represent is not protected. If terrorists are bombing mosques, then it is the duty of the supreme Islamic council, MURIC or any other Muslim interest group to lampoon the government and call them to order as regards that. CAN is only performing its responsibility rightfully by asking the government to be accountable.

what are you saying? How is venting their displeasure at the brutal murdering of one of their key figure playing politics. CAN is definitely not expected to start singing praise and worship if an Islamic cleric suffers same fate but they would definitely let out their outburst if their member is affected and there is absolutely nothing wrong in doing that.
