…Wants them punished like other criminals

Widows of slain military officers and soldiers particularly those fighting the war against terrorism have protested the continuous release of murderous Boko Haram terrorists on the grounds that they have repented.

National Vice President of Military Widows Association, Mrs Edith Opesanmi who spoke on their behalf during the seminar by the ‘Support Our Troops Foundation’ in Abuja, faulted the decision of the federal government in releasing the so-called repentant criminals who are responsible for the death of so many gallant officers and soldiers as well as helpless innocent Nigerians.

Opesanmi said this during an interview with The on the sidelines of the maiden lecture of Support Our Troops Foundation in Abuja on Wednesday.

Emphasizing that the terrorists were not better than other criminals like armed robbers and kidnappers who are being made to pay for their crimes, Opesanmi who is the widow of the late Col. Johnson Opesanmi, said terrorists should not be given preferential treatment.

Her words, “They (terrorists) should face justice. You know they are involved in the killing and maiming of soldiers. So, whenever they are arrested, they should be punished like any other criminal.

“We widows feel bad about it. Our husbands go to fight these terrorists and keep dying. The number of widows is increasing daily. Some of these widows are young ladies.

Admitting that the Federal Government may be trying to replicate the amnesty programme of the Niger Delta militants, she said both situations were not the same noting that after all, the amnesty programme did not stop militancy.

In his contribution, a former Director at the Department of State Services, Barr. Mike Ejiofor disagreed with the timing of the release of so-called repentant terrorists especially when the war on terror is still ongoing.

“For me, the programme is not well-timed. You cannot be releasing Boko Haram suspects when the war is still ongoing.Ideally, it is after the war has been fought and won that you can release those ones that have been rehabilitated and deradicalized,” he said.

It will be recalled that more than 2,000 so-called repentant Boko Haram terrorists who murdered, raped, publicly executed both Muslims and Christians, castrated soldiers, burnt military locations and carried out suicide bombings in places of worship have been released back into the society through a programme, Operation Safe Corridor.

There is a general belief that most of the insecurity being peddled in different parts of the country including kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling and other robbery activities may be perpetrated by some of the so-called repentant Boko Haram criminals.

Nigeria is one of the few rotten countries in the world where murderers are rehabilitated and released. While street protesters are shot to death for exercising their fundamental human rights.
This right here is a message to Nigerians; ''You can get away with murder if you're an Islamist terrorist.''
Releasing boko haram terrorist murderers under guise of ''Rehabilitation'' is nothing but Insult to boko haram victims and their families.

There's nothing like repentant terrorist!
Remember Taqiyya (Deception is Islam's number one tool of war).
Buhari's islamist regime is using boko haram to play taqiyya on Nigerians.

It is evil, vile and total injustice to release these once-upon-a-time murderers into the society under the guise of rehabilitation.

If a terrorist could be set free, then all murderers—david west, maryam sanda, Rev. Kings, henry okah— should be set free as long as they show remorse. angry

Reintegration of enemies back into the friendly side is an outdated technique last used in the biafra war. It is no longer feasible in this time and situation!

This have always been the game plan. They initially groomed up this terrorists group for religious then later saw the potential to convert them for political purpose (Remember "Proscription of Ansaru/BH is unconstitu- tional"/"Buhari fault fight against BH" ? )Now, mission accomplished, the monsters they created refused to be tamed.

Hence they started advocating amnesty for killers/jihad soldiers, paying these murderers staggering ransom, fees
-ing them luxuriantly (more than troops fighting them), enrolled them for so called deradicalized programs and allegedly enrolled them back into the Nigerian military. The only good BH is a dead one.

an attack on bokoharam is an attack to the North - Buhari

Stop killing bokoharam - Buhari to Gej

APC is bokoharam - DSS

Bokoharam selects buhari as negotiator - 2014/2015

Death of Youth corpers - buhari and his supporters killed them because Gej won 2011 elections

Dog and baboons will soak in blood - buhari

Buhari releases "repentant" bokoharam and employs them in the military

Buhari ask villagers to surrender their lands to Fulani herdsmen terrorists or be slaughtered

buhari warns villagers against defending themselves and reprisal attacks against murderous Fulani herdsmen

Buhari uses 50cal weapons on armless protesters but about if not have withdrawn troops against rampaging bokoharam thereby giving them freedom to expand and terrorise.

and so on

my people what evidence do you need to be convinced that buhari is a criminal terrorist vagabond gworo chewing bastard burukutu sipping gorilla?

What evidence do you need to know that the lanky gworo grinding demon in aso rock is a blood thirsty terrorist

i pity those southern fools that sacrifices their blood to quench the thirst of terrorist buhari.

with this i join hands with good people of nairaland and these widows and say

thunder scatter buhari Insha'Allah amin

You cannot win a war on terrorism and ideology if the commanders and soldiers are sharing the same faith and believed , no Muslims will fight against the army of the gods of Islam and jihad

The Nigeria security system is control by the Muslims, you don't expect them to fight against the interest of the gods of Islam, that is why you see trouble and insecurity every where, their interest and missions and mandate are the same that is why you see them crying when some states form security to protect themselves,
Something that suppose to make them happy for helping them in their work but not so because they are in support of the criminal

The good thing is that buhari's impunity will hasten the disintegration of Nigeria. Those that want good governance, commerce and economic development can go their way. While those that want TOTAL Sharia and islamic terrorism can go their way.

BUHARI is the most useless president ever in the history of this country.

BUHARIADVOCATE
IPOBANTIDOTE
HELINUS
MADRIDGUY
YARIMO
BUHARIGUY

come and defend the disaster and dullard of a President. Imagine people after killing our gallant soldiers, killing innocent and harmless civilians, raping women, burning down houses, destroying people's farmlands and ancestral lands, are being treated to a buffet, released back as repentant Boko Haram by the useless dullard of a President.

God punish all those that foisted this calamity and disaster of a President on Nigerians.

Everyone seems to be quiet about this. If armed robbers pay for their crimes, I don't see reasons why boko haram, which is more deadlier and heartless not pay for theirs.

Releasing them back to the society on the ground of penitence is a clear indication that the present government is boko haram sponsors and patron.

But I really don't see the rationality in releasing these terrorists into the society. I hope we won't live to regret this unthoughtful act by the government.

In USA, no matter if a terrorist repent,

Death is the only penalty for being a terrorist.

In Nigeria, Amnesty is what terrorists get as reward

How would you feel as a soldier, seeing your year long colleagues die while their killers end up wearing same uniform your colleagues were defending...

What respect would you have for the uniform?

mehn, mehn ,mehn, the kind of news that comes out of Nigeria gives me chills. Seriously i get goosebumps everytime i read this. its unbelievable, even in your wildest fantasy you cant phantom this. so who deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria. If terrorist who rampage through villages, kidnap, rape, murder in mass are captured, then the government invests billions in them in name of rehabilitation while the victims of their crimes are still suffering from all sorts of loss and trauma. SH!T. who doesnt deserve to be rehabilitated in our prisons. or have they gone to ask the robbers and murders in the prisons and they said they weren't repentant.

let me ask this question, between Maryam Sanda and bokoharam who is worse ( no offence to the victim's family ). bokoharam gets rehabilitation and amnesty , she gets death sentence.

Even in basic decisions, you look at the choices made by leaders and you are left in awe.

our law makers are debating and making laws in different fields; economics, security, socials, but i have never seen for once where an expert in the field is invited to come give an independent assessment and recommendation especially for long term goals. yet these leaders whom a chunk of them have forged certificates and no qualifications are on the steering.

how time flies. one term of government becomes two terms, 4 years becomes 8 years, two bad presidents/governors in office waste 16 years. a child who was 2 years old must have become an adult, yet nothing has changed. the rest of the world are moving are a geometric rate,Nigeria with all our natural and human resources keep regressing exponentially .

i am pained !!! very pained !!!!!

Lol forgiveness is overrated. It's wild how all the worst sort of people warrant amnesty from bandits to bokos. There has to be consequences to serve as a deterrent. These guys are traitors and should be executed.
